Gave all top marks! Brilliant little game <3

Nice work. Efficient simplicity makes the game easy to pick up and play.

It's very interesting how you need to combine the different ingredients, some which touch and other who need to be split, etc... It really makes it fun and intense at some point! Great work!

Really tasty.. I mean really great game

This is great, and I'm happy to see on the game page you're planning on a full release. This is satisfying like a tile placement games (with all the items giving each other bonuses based on being adjacent and other rules), but in a realtime hectic way. Super satisfying and I played it a lot (got 1000+ score!). The only critique I have is that if you avoid making the conveyor go faster and the food production increase, then the difficulty doesn't increase much.

Developer

Woah over 1,000 is crazy!! Didn't even know that was possible haha. I'm glad you're happy to see that there'll be a full release, it's been a really fun design to work with! :) Definitely agree that the game needs to have better difficulty scaling and balancing in general.

Great game, very enjoyable and creative! My only criticism is that the way the game fits into the theme is a bit of a stretch.

Really good idea. The speed and constant decision making is great .

More omelete Variety might help

Developer

Interesting point about more omelet variety. I'm curious if you have anything specific in mind. Do you mean more ingredients or would you want completely different base omelets?

Submitted(+1)

More ingredients AND different omelets that you unlock via progression, is my suggestion

Developer

Thanks, I hadn't really considered different omelets but I like that idea! I'm making more content for a full release so I'll see what I can do!

Absolutely loved this one! omelette deckbuilder?? Hell yeah. I think this might also qualify as an aim trainer haha.
And as always, the answer to the best food is cheese

Developer

Hahaha exactly, the extreme cheese strat always works ;)

Cool pixel art and nice concept!, same idea as mine, serving food :D!

Very creative concept and fun to play! I wanna play more and try to get even further, this idea has legs and you polished it very well for a 4 day jam.

Developer

Thanks I appreciate that a lot! Glad you see the potential in it because I plan on continuing to develop it a bit so I can explore some other ideas I have. Feel free to follow my page or sign up to the newsletter if you wanna be notified when the full game releases: Omelet You Cook (mailchi.mp)

Surprisingly stressful!

I love how responsive the sound design is to each action!! I accidentally upped the conveyor belt speed, so the sound helped me confirm if I added the ingredients. Balancing the different effects of each ingredient creates a fun challenge, especially when your time in how long you can take to make each omelet. Amazing game!

This is a really fun deck building/rougelike game with lots of interesting and unique gameplay and with high quality sounds and art. Very well done :D

Submitted(+1)

This is such a clever concept! I love how the game turns into a mad scramble (heh heh) to get everything on the plate! If I could offer one suggestion for the eventual release, I think it could be fun if the conveyor belt started a hair slower so that the game lures you in with the promise of a relaxing cooking game and then pulls the rug out from under you as things get faster and denser.

Developer

Haha I love that idea! People have been asking for a slower more relaxed version but the idea of it starting relaxed and peaceful and then turning into absolute chaos sounds fun to me

Submitted(+1)

Loved it! Very nice gameplay, the game felt very stylized and very complete!!

Submitted(+1)

Very enjoyable! However I would create some sort on end game condition, and put a max limit to the ingredients that give variable extra points without contact (cheese, chili, pineapple...) for obvious reasons.

Developer

Yeah the balancing is quite broken sadly! I like the idea of having a win condition so players get that sense of satisfaction.

Simple yet elegant and fun concept of a game! Well done <3
