You start with a single person and a single restaurant, and you scale your influence to control more people, more restaurants, and eventually the entire city.

The game's core loop is very well made, did have a few character units bugging from time to time and a building not fully converting, but I had a fun time!

Developer

Glad you enjoyed, thanks for playing!

Such  a fun game! I looove the pixel art and think it was done pretty well all round. Unfortunately the game did crash a few times but still think its a cool game!

Developer

Ah that's too bad! Well I hope you enjoyed it while it wasn't crashing :o

Really cool game and great visuals! I liked the fast paced gameplay, though I think the phase of the game without the rival company could last a bit longer. My units got stuck often, mostly on the scenery, so maybe some things should have smaller hitboxes. Two of the opponent's stores got stuck so I wasn't able to finish the game, but otherwise it had a good sense of progression and time.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! Glad you enjoyed it other than the issues

Game is really really cool, but crashes after few minutes of playing... :(
(Had the problem 3 times)
But the quality is just over the top, looks like a real non-jam game :D

Developer(+1)

Ah that's too bad, was it a slow decline in framerate and then eventually a crash, or just a sudden crash?

Thank you for the kind words!

Just a sudden freeze of the whole game, only the mouse cursor was moving, and cpu was 100%. Had to force-quit the game.

One of the best-looking games I've seen these days!

Developer

Thanks so much!

This was really fun!  It's hard to do RTS games in game-jams, so it's always nice when I stumble across one.  I wish the supporter arguments went a bit faster though

Edit: Itch.io decided to post 6 duplicates of my comment, I deleted them, sorry

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Yes, making this within the timeline was quite the challenge, and it was our first ever game jam!

Thanks for the feedback on argument speed.

And no worries about the duplicated comment, that was happening to me too haha - if you want to avoid that issue in the future, make your comment first, and then rate the game after.

I loved the scaling of my little domain; it was so cool to grow my population! Really great game!

Developer

I'm glad you enjoyed, thanks for playing!

I like the premise, I like the art, and I like the animations and sound effects. I think the idea of constantly winning over a building and over people makes it a very interesting but challenging resource management game but this is a good thing for RTS style gameplay. It would be nice if I could double click on a unit and it would select all the units visible on my screen as well as be able to cancel a unit from performing an action.

Thanks for playing and for your specific feedback!

Really cool mechanic, a bit sad my guy got stuck so often. I loved the visuals and the sfx. Congrats!

Thanks for playing!

You're telling me I can have my own ponzi scheme AND I get to polarize the local community!?!?!? GOTY right here.

Jokes aside, I wish the instructions were a bit clearer at the beginning, and I also wish the enemy didn't grow as fast as the player (man, that chicken franchise has a lot of employees). Otherwise, great game and concept!

Developer

Big Chicken is indeed quite a force to be reckoned with!

Glad you enjoyed the concept haha, and thank you for your feedback :)

Really nice idea! Also took me a bit to understand the controls, but it was pretty fun! Sadly I had lots of supporters stuck after converting people. It was still a cool experience, congratulation for the submission!

I love the art, really well done.
Took me a while to get the mechanic, but was fun to play around. The number os assets blocking the path of the supporters was a little bit frustrating.

Developer

Thanks for playing!

Yes, pathfinding was next on our list but we ran out of time haha
