Great game! I can easily be addicted to games like this... Haven't seen any other idle clickers in the jam yet!

Developer

Thanks! Do you have any suggestions?

Submitted

Perfect idle-based game! i love idle/incremental games :D

Developer

Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for playing! Did you have any suggestions?

Submitted

Nice idle game ! The part when you can plant anything made me laugh. I had a hard time figuring out how the autobuyer worked (more of an autoseller, really), but that’s probably just me. An option to trash unwanted stock to make room would be nice too.

Not sure it matches the theme that well, though. :D

Developer

With regards to the theme, it was meant to be a dice roll which fruits you got from the shop but I never had time to do any kind of animation for that.

You're correct, it should have been called an autoseller, but I realised that after I'd made the art and it was too late to change it.

I'd have loved to add trash, that was on the todo list, but instead I opted to simply make it so you have enough spaces to store all items in the game as I ran out of time.

How could I have made the auto seller more clear?

And did you have any suggestions?

Submitted

For the autoseller, maybe just spawn a small cursor near the emplacement for smoothies, Cookie-clicker style ? I spent some time trying to drag it to various places before realizing it was already working. :p

Developer

Ah that's fair yeah. Perhaps some better signposting!

Submitted

Our browser version seems to be cut off and we didn't really feel the theme of dice, but we really enjoyed the concept!

Developer

Thanks for playing, what do you mean by cut off?

Submitted

Neat game, definately the first idle clicker I've come across so far. Love the presentation, and it was very satisfying to watch and hear all the little pulses when I had a full inventory set up. Having a short timer before the tool tips come up would've made the screen a bit less cluttered at the end there.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed the endgame. Timer on the tooltips is an interesting idea. I was considering making it so you could disable them if you wanted as well.

Other than that, did you have any other suggestions?

Submitted

Well the shift click would've been nice, but that's been mentioned already : p
Maybe a tooltip that showed you the percentage chances of obtaining each item in the ingredients bundles? (or even just a list of possible items you could get.) Wouldn't really make a difference gameplay wise, but I guess it might've made the jam theme resonate more and it's just one of those things I subconciously expected to be there.

Developer

Shift click for sure! The odds of each item drops are all equal, but you're right, it would have definitely made the theme clearer.

I agree it should have been mentioned which fruits come from where, but a little detail is that if you look at the colours on each shop item, they are made from the fruits it contains!

This is really helpful, was there anything else?

Submitted

Yeah, I did actually notice the colour co-ordination on the shop items; a very nice detail!

Oh, another tinyfrustration point was when I first started mass producing stuff using the autoclicker and the trees, there was a point were I had a big surplus of all the ingredients except honey. After the honey ran out, the next time it spawned it would be in an item slot instead of in the recipe slot where I had left it. I imagine this already small detail would be even less noticeable with the shift click, but since your asking!

Also just to ramble some more about what I was talking about earlier with showing the possible contents of the fruit box : when I first got a banana out of the starter box, I immediately started thinking "Oooh, I wonder what that's for?" Because of that anticipation, it was a lot more exciting/satisfying to see that banana recipe finally show up - almost as if I had solved some kinda puzzle just by thinking about it. I feel like that same effect would be leveraged by being able to see the contents of the boxes. But hey, maybe that's just the way I think!

Submitted

Nice game, the most efficient was the first cocktail though! good work.

Developer

Thanks for playing, did you have any suggestions? Other than balance the pricing better

Submitted

Very nicely themed clicker game, I loved your cheesy descriptions of everything. I lol’d when I discovered you can grow… anything haha. Dirt is OP! Can’t really see the theme anywhere, but it’s a good game nonetheless

Submitted

This one is as addictive as Cookie clicker! Hearing the money ching sound effect is so satisfying

Developer

Thanks, I'm glad you found it satisfying. Did you have any suggestions?

Submitted(+1)

This is my favorite game of this jam! The theme is not really present, but you do have a great concept here regardless! Lots of variety and very fun to play. Visuals are stunning as well! Excellent job!

Developer

Thanks! The theme was meant to be the random fruit you get from the store. Did you have any suggestions?

Submitted

I do think it would be nice to sell individual ingredients that you don't need anymore for a small amount, even just to reduce clutter. Especially with the clickers being all one stack it could get annoying to have too many clickers at once. This game has similar mechanics to Stacklands, so you might be able to grab mechanic inspiration from that game to build on this!

Developer

Selling ingredients for a very small value is a great idea! It's funny you mention stacklands, it was the inspiration for this game!

What do you mean by all the clickers being in one stack?

Submitted

Because all the clickers are in one slot together, you cant reduce the number of recipes that are made automatically by the clickers. So I found myself turning off the clickers quite frequently to keep a few of my ingredients before the large number of clickers turned them all into a smoothie. Basically there is no ability to reduce the number of auto clickers active at once without turning them all off.

Developer

Ooooh really point actually! So maybe an ability to separate/halve stacks like in minecraft?

Submitted

The art for the game is great the music is also nice. The captions add a bit of humor. Great Job. :D

Developer

Thanks! Did you have any suggestions?

Submitted

Great Visuals! The gameplay was also pretty fun.

Developer

Really fun game, and the presentation was super cute!

As mentioned already by the others, the only real problem was the scroll bar not working properly, otherwise really nice game, congrats!

I have to say that I didn't feel the theme of the "roll of the dice" too clearly compared to other games though

Developer

Thanks for playing! When you say the scrollbar not working, do you mean it scrolling the page down too? Did you try the arrow keys? And yeah I agree that the theme could have been better implemented

Submitted

Didn't try the arrow keys, only realised that was an alternative when I came to the comment section.

Anyway, really fun game! music was chill, animations were fun and was really polished for the 48 hours allotted time!

Developer

Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for leaving a comment. Did you have any suggestions?

Submitted(+1)

Not really, it achieved what it tried to do really well!

Developer

Thanks!

Submitted

that was really great, got a little hectic when the clickers were introduced haha

Developer

Thanks for playing! Did you have any suggestions?

Submitted

it got a little confusing after the planting and autoclicker got introduced, so maybe just put a bit of text explaining it once it comes up

Developer

Oh interesting, which part was confusing?

Submitted

Got 100k in 13.56 minutes! Lovely game, super fun to play, those clickers are always so addicting HAHA. Congratulations!

Submitted

That was fun! The art and little animations are especially great

Minor thing: Scroll wheel goes down the page on itch, and I didn't realize arrow keys would scroll down. In-game arrow buttons or scroll wheel might have been nice.

And no strawberry kiwi drink? ☹ jk... Great job!

Developer

Thanks for playing, I'm glad you had fun! It's so annoying the scrollwheel does that.

And yeah that's a missed opportunity right there! Is that your go to smoothie?

Did you have any suggestions?

Submitted

It took me a bit to figure out that the recipes are not unlocked by guess and check (which is how I got the first two). Maybe an indicator or some kind of notification for unlocking a new recipe.

When I had kiwi and strawberry in my inventory I tried so desperately to mix them together haha.

Developer

Haha that's so funny.

Notification icon on the tabs would have been a great idea. Thanks for that

Submitted

The theme isn't really there and the music is kind of out of place. If I had more time, I would have played this for a while! Great job!

Developer

Fair enough, yeah the music is supposed to motivate you to become an entrepreneur! The theme was meant to be that you roll dice when you buy from the shop but it ended up just being random selected with no dice UI

Submitted

Super cute art! Couldn't get the music to work, but i really like the animations and how you unlock new recipes

Developer

The music should just play? Do you mean that it wasn't?

Submitted

It wasn't. But after your comment I tried opening it in chrome aswell then it worked! So for some reason it's not working in Safari (all developers nightmare browser). I love how epic and "big" the music sounds, would fit in a grand ending scene of an adventure movie, amazing!!

Developer

Glad to hear it's working now! I agree, it's meant to hype you up

Submitted

This is one of the games from the jam that's kept me engaged the longest so far! Maybe a little loose on the theme, but I can't stop playing so I can't blame you either.

Developer

Thanks! That means a lot. I also noticed the lack of theme when I was about half way through but it was too late to do anything about it! Do you have any suggestions? Was there anything unintuitive?

Submitted

I left a comment on the game itself after I finished, but I don't think it was unintuitive at all!

Developer

Ah ok! I'm glad to hear that! I'll check out the other thread then lol

Submitted

This game is one that will leave your fingers hurting by the late game as you scramble to buy a million autoclickers! Wow this is good!

Developer

Thanks! What was your score?

Submitted

Very cute, very fun.

Developer

Thanks! Do you have any suggestions?

Submitted (1 edit)

My suggestions for the moment would be rather brief, the final recipe was cut off for me, so I was concerned there are other ones I wasn't able to unlock.  I'd love to be able to "upgrade" my drinks somehow, but that is more of a stretch goal :)  I didn't unlock the auto clickers though

Developer

Thanks for the suggestion! Upgrading the drinks would be interesting, perhaps by using higher quality ingredients. You can use the scrollwheel /arrowkeys to move the menus up and down, there are more beneath!
