Nice concept! I love this kind of game! I am sure there is some potential here :)

I like the idea and dynamic. It's cool that the random roll is balanced by the ability to combo dices. It gives you control over randomness.

But without any art, music or even SFX, the game feels empty.... A shame.

Very interesting concept, but to be fair, I enabled the tutorial and then kind of closed it and tried to figure out the game. It's not that hard, but the tutorial shouldn't be a wall of text (but I guess that's really just due to the time constraints of a jam). This could definitely be fun with some more animations and a "learn as you play" kind of tutorial.

Interesting game. It was fun thinking about which dice to pick together and think abou mine health as well as enemy's health. I would like some sound effects tho. Music is not that important as long as you have some nice sounds.

Developer

thanks :)

Simply incredible. I played this a lot longer than I had planned to. I got to round 20 before I decided to move on. I really appreciate that you let the player feel this powerful, even overpowered. That's the perfect take for a jam game. At first it felt "too broken" because I was one-shotting enemies before they got a chance to take a move, but then the enemy started going first.... and I nearly lost before getting to go! It felt great. Well done!

If I had to give any constructive criticism to help you improve, it might be that having some sort of "bad luck protection" against not rolling red or green dice might help. It felt pretty bad to have my board fill up with grey and green dice when I desperately needed an attack, or vice versa. But even that might be broken. Maybe pay 2 or 3 energy to roll a specific color die? That way you can get what you want but at a premium.

Overall, great job. Keep making games. Be proud of what you've accomplished in just 48 hours!

Developer

thanks!

Wonderful game! However the energy and roll button were covering the health meter so it was hard to tell who was winning...Overall great game though!

Developer

thanks!

Very funny one, I didn’t understand exactly what happened after defeating my enemy, my life points were still low. It does not start another match with full health?

Submitted(+1)

Starting it was a little mesh then after as I play it was a lot, I was clicking on make move but nothing happen, lot after I found there was no energy. Something indication on no energy would be great.

Very different than other games.

Really like it when the number go crazy.

I have like 50k HP and thought that enemy wont kill me and then get hit like 40k per hit lol.

Developer

Yes, lol

Nice take on theme, tutorial could have been better, but once I got hang of it , it was fun, I didn't get how you are calculating damage and health .

Thanks for your gameplay, but I can't hear!

Some written feedback.

Liked:

  • Graphics were clean and simple to interpret
  • Mechanic was creative
  • Random buffs each turn.

Things to improve:

  • Visual feedback of players actions (attack animations, turn swaps etc.)
  • More clarity about damage and healing (when using two dice of the same type the numbers were not as stated in the equation)

Neat idea!

Nice game & theme interpretation! Would be nice to have some sound effects, that would make the game feel much more alive. A bit of balancing won’t hurt, too - right now it feels like a good combination of dice can end the game in one turn or heal a player up to max health, effectively restarting the game. Anyways, nice job!

Developer

Thanks!
