Well now, I understand why I forget a lot of things. 🤣🤣🤣

Man... the 2nd round is hard but this game is GOOD! A very nice take on the subject! I've rated 50 games but I haven't seen anyone come up with the same idea till this point. Well done sure!

The game is fun and the presentation is flawless. Great job!

Developer

HAHA no yeah I totally get it, memory is definitely not my strong suit either. I do think I made it a little too hard, so I'll be making it a bit easier for sure. I really appreciate the kind words and positive feedback! Thanks for playing, and I'm glad you enjoyed it! :)

Submitted

That's a very good idea, but boy is that hard lol, it reminds me of those videos of chimps memorizing and pressing numbers on a screen in order, apparently chimps are better than us at that kind of stuff. My best score was 3, but I liked it!

Developer(+1)

Haha, yeah I actually got inspiration from the human benchmark test! It's interesting since you're the first to mention that haha. The game is a bit too hard right now, so I'll be adjusting the difficulty post jam. I'm glad you were still able to enjoy the game despite it being suuuper hard haha :) Thanks for playing!

nice job! hard but fun

Developer

Thanks for playing! I'll definitely be adjusting the difficulty so it's a little less hard haha. Glad you enjoyed playing! :)

very fun but unforgiving game

Developer

Thanks for the comment! I will be adjusting the difficulty since it's definitely a little too hard. I'm glad you still enjoyed it though! Thanks for playing! :)

Super cool game, really enjoyable. Loved the shop upgrade concept.

Developer

Thanks for playing! I appreciate the kind words!

Cute puzzler with a well balanced upgrade mechanism there :)

Initially I thought I was going to be great at it- and there the board got bigger :|

Developer

Hey, thanks for playing! The board is probably expanding a little too fast, so I'll adjust the difficulty for sure haha. But yeah, I hope you enjoyed playing! :)

I was fooled by the cute art, this game is super hard haha!

I liked the cute vibe and the shop mechanic!
Maybe the link to the jam theme is a little weak, but you did a nice job on this fun game, congrats : )

Developer

Hey, thanks for playing! Haha, sorry I didn't mean to trick you with the art :) But yeah I agree the difficulty definitely needs to be turned down a little, and the tie to the theme isn't super direct either. I appreciate the feedback! Thanks for playing! :)

The upgrades were a really clever idea to motivate the player to keep playing. They all feel significant and there's no one obvious pick. Nice work!

Developer(+1)

Hey! Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad the balance of the upgrades seemed good, as I wasn't sure if like one was an obvious choice. Thanks for playing! :)

I liked concept of the game, having upgrades in a memory game but i'm not sure how it fits in with the theme of the roll of the dice but its still a good game nevertheless. I will say that any above a 4x4 was near impossible to do correctly so maybe put that at a lot later level. Good job!

Developer

Hey, thanks for the feedback! I agree with you on the difficulty, it's way too hard too fast. I'll definitely make it easier. The tie-in to the theme is a bit weak, I agree since the dice is kinda done half-heartedly and the only other tie is the randomness. But yeah, hopefully, you had fun! Thanks for playing! :)

I like the idea of having a shop in a memory game! I still couldn't get past level 10 though, 5x5 was way too hard for me.

Developer

Hey, thanks for playing! You made it pretty far tbh! But yeah, the difficulty is definitely something to improve on. Thanks for the feedback!

Interesting take on the theme!

What I liked?

- The upgrade mechanic to improve the skills is a good idea

- The visuals are cute and well made

Other comments:

- The difficulty is a bit too hard at start for my taste, then when I earned a way to improve my capacities, it went a bit harder with more fish at screen. So I think that it would be nice to master first the one 3x3 with several upgrades, then increasing the difficulty.

Overall nice work!

Developer(+1)

Hey, thanks so much for playing! You're definitely right about the difficulty, as it seems to be the consensus that it's too hard. I appreciate the detailed suggestions a lot. Again, thanks so much for playing and really appreciate the feedback! :)

This game reminds me of when I was a little boy playing memory with my grandma! I like it! Visuals are really neat!

Developer

Hey, thanks for playing! I'm glad it was able to bring back that feeling of nostalgia! :)

Its cute and the imput feedback is on point.

The core Gameplay loop is simple, but pretty well executed. It's pretty hard although. With some balances and tweaks, it could become a pretty solid game.

Developer

Thanks for the comment! I agree the difficulty is definitely too high, and it seems that most people also think that too. Sadly, I realized this too late for the jam, but I'll definitely be adjusting things later. I really appreciate the feedback, and thanks for playing!

That's pretty common to happen in GameJams. There's almost no time for balancing, and a fine tune comes with time and lots of experience in game design.
Yuo have a good game, and it will become better with the adjusts ^~^

Time passed so fast! It's too hard for me lol

Developer

Hey, thanks for your feedback! I realized the difficulty curve is pretty rough, so I apologize for that haha. The shop kinda helps but I don't think it's enough. But I hope you were still able to have some fun! I appreciate you stopping by to play my game :)

The premise was simple, memorize where the fish at. I ended up trying to memorize the colors instead of the fish, not really good with memory :P

All in all, it was a very fun brain teaser, congrats on finishing the jam !

Developer(+1)

Hey, thanks for playing my game! Definitely memorizing the colors is a lot easier than trying to look at the fish. Also, it's probably not that your memory's bad but rather my game is too hard. I've realized the difficulty ramps up way too fast, and the upgrades aren't enough to make up for it. I'll definitely be addressing that issue. But yeah, thanks so much for playing!

Submitted

That escalated quickly :P As soon as I started to get a sense on how to memorize where everything is at, boom! The game doubled up making the difficulty really high really quickly :D lol I think think this game could benefit from 2 things:

1. Allowing players to chose the size of the board (a.k.a. difficulty)
2. Ramping up the difficulty by adding one row or column at a time and starting with like 4 squares, then keep adding 2 - 4 as it makes sense to bait me into a false sense of security before hitting me with the harder challenges :D

Overall, a very different take on the theme. Nicely done :D

Developer

Hi, thanks for your comment! I do agree with you and it seems to be the consensus that the game ramps up difficulty-wise a bit tooo fast. I'm definitely considering a 2x2 square at first to allow for more upgrades and whatnot before bringing the bigger boards. Choosing different difficulties is also a great idea. I really appreciate the feedback, and thanks for playing!

Fun memory matching game. I love the visual of how the cubes move. Great job.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for your comment! I'm glad the 3D dice effect turned out okay. It was a little funky to get working so I'd been a bit concerned. Thanks for the feedback and playing my game!

Geez, this was a breath of fresh air after seeing so many puzzle games. I enjoyed it quite much. Thanks for this  game andymcgamer and congrats on your submission.

Developer

Hey, thanks for your comment! I'm glad my game was a good change of pace and that you had fun! I really appreciate you playing! Thanks!

Submitted

Really nice memory game. Pretty damn hard too. Only was able to get up to 12 and even that was a lot of luck.

Developer

Hey, thanks for your comment! The difficulty is definitely something I'm looking back and regretting a bit haha. I do think it ramps up way too fast. 12 is a pretty high score though as I was only able to get up to 17 myself. Thanks for the feedback and thanks for playing!

Submitted

I really like the theme!! great job
I am terrible at memory games but the upgrade makes it a bit easier 😀

Developer(+1)

Hi! Thanks for your comment! I do think it might not be because of your lack of skill but rather the fact that I made the difficulty a little too harsh. I've gotten a lot of comments on the difficulty after all haha. I'm glad the upgrades were able to help you though! I'll definitely look into making it a bit easier/progressing slower. Thanks for playing!
