This entry both has a really cool concept and a beautiful execution!
Like a lot of commenters, I am unsure of how the game counts the number of dice to throw.
I though that it started with 3, then removed one if the armor attacked matched the armor defended, and another one if the elements matched, but it sometimes throws 0, and sometimes 3 when I'm defending the exact same things the opponent is attacking, so I'm confused. But still, I like the gameplay and the idea.
Visually, nothing to say, the sprites are wonderful, the animations are great, and the music goes well with the theme of the game. The only thing that stuck out a little was the armor's design, but apart from that it's perfect!
Really great submission, excellent work to the team! =D
Love the visuals! i like the randomized move set mechanic and having to decide where to place them.
Gorgeous artwork and music! I was a bit confused by the combat system tho
The visuals were stunning-great job on the polish! Very simple and easy to understand. Well done!
I wish I had some more meaningful choices in the game.
apart from that, the presentation is incredible and it is a creative idea! good job! =)
The game looks really good, but I think it tries to look like more than it is. Unfortunately, it doesn't convince me at all. I'm not a fan of reading so much and I don't find throwing a few dice very innovative either.
Great looks and amazing original music (I'd be interested to know where I can find it if at all), pretty fun game and kinda cool take on the dice system.
Game looks great and the sounds are good too. I feel like the gameplay needs more to it. At the moment it's just selecting the dice that comes and no other strategy to it.
The artstyle is amazing. Gameplay is simple but effective.
Overall good experience and great game
Simple yet elegant. Lots of content which serves this game really well. The gameplay itself is rather robust and strategic despite it appearing simple. The game also just looks good. I think my only feedback is that as the game goes on the player doesn't feel any more powerful and the amount of damage the player and enemies do to each other feels like it stays pretty small, adding some power strikes or higher levels of damage would give a stronger sense of progress, even if that means inflating the HP levels more. Overall a very very good game.
The gameplay could be expanded upon, it felt like there wasn't much decision-making from the player involved. Apart from that, I loved everything about this game! The visuals are fantastic.
I can't quite tell how damage is calculated, but it is a fun loop nonetheless. The visuals were amazing and wonderfully simplistic. I like the silhouette designs a lot.
Amazing visuals and the main gameplay loop was fun to play. Also loved the story-like feel to the log.
Cool music and visuals!
If you add some more dice and customization after defeating the enemies it will get even better!
nice visuals
Nice graphics and gameplay, although it's really hard to work out what was going on there.
Seems like loads of games I've reviewed have very poor instructions, so you're not alone!
But REALLY nice implementation and a novel idea. Well done.
Great presentation and a cool concept. The combat log was a neat addition, and I liked the interaction of assigning die to the different circles. An element wheel was definitely needed though!
I also really liked the idea of taking pieces of armour from defeated opponents - it would've been neat if the different armour pieces were different types of dice with different abilities/probabilities.
I love the presentation of this game! Art and music blend so seamlessly together. I agree with some of the other comments about needing a bit more clarity, but I got there in the end and enjoyed the game thoroughly! Solid submission!
The gameplay is a bit too slow and simple for my taste, but I love the presentation which turns the whole thing into a meditative and enjoyable experience.
I would have loved a bit more clarity. But the overall aesthetic is fantastic!
