Nice twist on classic chess, good job!

Love the concept and the execution!

Nothing like a simple twist on an old classic.
I kinda wish there was an AI, but it's still fun to play against yourself or even with (gasp) a friend.

Very cool concept, a bit sad that the pawn cannot advance by 2 for their first move :(

This is a very cool game, I would love to see a single player mode put into this after the jam. I like the minimalist design as well. Very impressive!

Very impressive to implement this so quickly! I can't actually find an existing variant on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_chess_variants#Variant_rules,_standard_set... that fits "change a piece to random other type" so you might have actually invented a fully new form of chess? :D

Cool game idea! The graphics are great, it's a very good chess variant! (BTW chess fan)

One problem, when you are in check, you can just, not get out of check, it lets you lose

I didn't have someone to play it with, but this seems really neat. I played a lot of chess variants in high school, and its fun to see a new spin on it that can only work digital.
