Apart from being a really nice puzzle with tutorial, sounds and levels, I liked the roll animation for the dice a lot (which I had this in my game). Also it is cool to have extra goals apart from reaching the exit to solve a level. Excellent use of the theme!
The needed values to activate slides / passing are a bit small and hard to read.
Very good use of the characteristics of the dice. Use interesting mechanisms to create strategic. Good job!!!
I loved your art style. Very nicely made. The puzzles were quite challenging at times, but I managed to beat most of them. Good job!
This was quite a fun puzzle game, and it was very satisfying to find out how to finish the level. For 48 hours, it is very fun and a very polished game. Nice job!
Very enjoyable game, with nice mechanics!
I especially like the smart use of graphics, wrapping everything around a core mechanic.
Last level looked scary, but once I calmed down and saw it for what it is, it was not very hard :D
I think developing my own dice rolling game made me find this not too hard haha.
Great job!
PS: btw, I'm curious, did you create a level editor for this or just went for it in scenes?
We just created all the levels as Godot scenes. I did make it a little easier on myself by making a base scene that the levels inherited from that had the tilemap for the floor, the player, a goal and the compass rose thing. I also set up the snap grid so that it would place all the game objects in the center of the tiles.
Thanks for playing!
Not very original, but well executed. That fidget that shows you what side will up is a well appreciated additive, as well as the gates that add to the puzzle, but also acts as guides in certain situations. I would only maybe re-think the icon for those gates, as the dice are hard to read.
quite nice game!
i have to say the tutorial was really good at the beginning.
i think later on a bit of a more gradual introduction to the game's complexity could've been good, but i did end up playing all of the levels!
i really like the design decisions you made with animating the tiles that match the pips on top of the die. and that they represent well what they do once you're on them.
adding the map of the cube was a great idea, some games overlapped it onto the tiles, which might not have worked greatly here, but is preferrable if you want the player to know where they can move.
i think adding some music, any music really, would've been a good idea.
it feels a bit empty without music.
the sound effects are nice, though they don't seem to always play, and the visual design is quite nice.
great job!
I've seen a lot of games at this jam with this mechanic, but this is one of the best of them. The puzzle design is really good, and I love the very crisp presentation. Well done!
One of my favorite puzzle submissions! It has good really good level design that creates an interesting challenge! I like that this game has an overlay showing what sides you'll be on if you move in these directions, it was bugging me in all the other 2D puzzle games. Amazing game!
Made me think! I enjoyed the puzzle design, especially trying to produce the same number a few times in a row gave me a bit of an aha moment. The effect tiles were a good touch and unique point. For game feel would love either to be able to hold the button or buffer it with the movement. Nicely done
A game that looks similar to a few games here, but with its own twist! Animation is slick, the sound effects add a nice touch. Good submission!
nice game! <3
neat little game! loved playing the puzzles, a bit too hard for my intelligence hehe
everything is on spot, congrats! this is very polished and almost a full game 😁
Great game, had me playing for way longer than I should have been! I did feel a little like I was banging my head against a brick wall but it kept me engaged and I think that says more about me than the design...
The dice pad thing was perfect. Played way too many rolling games where it was a pain just to try to figure out what face is where. It makes it much easier to plan out moves. I did run into some problems with the sfx not playing for some moves, which was kinda sad because they sounded great. Great game^^
I played a game similar to this but they didn't have the dice indicator to show you what your dice would be when you move. This indicator helps so much. It makes you feel more in control and aware of what you're doing. I had fun solving the puzzles. Also, the sfx was very satisfying. Great game!
This is a cool take on the dice rolling on a grid theme with the arrow force tiles making it stand out from the rest of the games!
Good job!
I've seen a lot of puzzle games in this jam about rolling a dice on a grid, but the arrow tiles made this one different. Nice!
good puzzle, interesting mechanics)
A great concept with an excellent presentation! The UI could do with some work, but for a jam game, this is really well done!
