I'm always a sucker for an arcade style. Other than mentioned crashes, the general gameplay loop felt smooth and satisfying. Good job!
Glad you liked it! :D
Yeah, I'm still working on fixes and stuff.
Great to see another shooter in the jam! This was a fun one. The retro style was cool and the mechanics were enjoyable! Awesome job :)
Thank you very much! :D
love the retro style coupled with the shaders! and the game works really well in the various mechanics, too. I got pretty lucky on my run, getting mostly positive results!
Thank you for playing!
Maybe the game needs to be a bit harder >:)
I think this is the best execution of a shooter game I've played in the jam so far, excellent job! The graphics and audio are simple, but punchy, and make for a very satisfying experience : )
Thank you very much for playing the game!
I'm glad you liked it, I spent quite a while just trying to get the shooting to be really satisfying. :D
Great presentation reminiscent of old arcade games
Thank you very much :D
A very entertaining arcade shooter! I loved that the dice rolls stacked + shuffled after every roll, along with the player choosing when to roll within the time limit, it really adds to the mechanical depth :) good job!
Thank you for playing the game!
I'm glad you liked the mechanics. :D
After the voting phase is over, I'll update the game, so maybe you'll stick around until then.
nice one ! I'll definitely revisit, the devil needs some sense beating into him >:)
The effects in this game are giving me arcade vibes which is a nice touch! The mechanics are also well executed. Overall, a good game but maybe make the dialogues a bit more faster lol.
Thank you for playing!
You are right, the dialogues are a bit slow, however you can skip them by just left clicking before they finish :D
I like the mechanics and concept. Congrats for the submission!
Thanks for playing!
Happy you enjoyed it :D
Thank you! :D
Pretty fun to play. Maybe I would like to see some music in the future.
Yep, I totally agree.
Will do that in future. Thanks for playing the game.
Really nice arcade-y aesthetics, and I like the concept you went for. Also, the story makes the game much more alive in my opinion. Good job!
Thank you very much for playing the game!
I'm glad you enjoyed it :D
Fun game! I felt like the pace was good, it lasted just long enough to not get stale while the dice rolls kept things interesting. Also, even though the graphics were minimal they worked well with your aesthetic.
Thanks for playing the game!
I'm happy you enjoyed it!
I liked the aesthetics of the game. I think I got some really sucky rolls as my character was essentially snail speed in the end. :P
A working basis for more content! :)
Thank you for playing the game!
I will probably keep working on the game once the jam voting is over, since this is my first game jam the code is a terrible mess and there are some bugs to be squashed :D
More content is also something I'd like to add!
yeah that was fun, the mechanic was easy to understand, but I wish there was more decision or reaction I needed to make, like, every roll moves where the soul I have to defend is or changes what kind of wave is coming next. as it is, it looks nice and plays well and is in some ways the ideal jam game
Thank you for playing!
Yeah, I also think there is a lot more possible with the game/mechanic. Maybe I'll update the game after the voting phase.
Fun concept!
The game needs a bit of music, and I was not sure where was my healthbar, but I liked it!
Thank you for playing the game!
Music was always a bit of my weakspot, gonna try to change that for the next game :D
And about the healthbar, I had no time left to implement that for the Player xD
Maybe I'll update the game after the jam voting phase is over.
