How does your game fit the theme?
I interpreted a dice as a 3D object with unique values on each side. The player moves through and interacts with the level by "Rolling" it to different faces.
Did your team create the vast majority of the art during the 48 hours?
No
We used pre-existing art
Did your team create the vast majority of the music during the 48 hours?
Yes
We created the vast majority of the music during the game jam

The concept is solid, I like the idea of building a world with the dice; maybe you could be building towards an end goal/level, and you have to strategize how to build the path (e.g. each dice value has different number of enemies; where you place each dice on the grid changes the enemy types, etc).
I'd try to take the idea further!
Loved the graphics and artstyle. Gameplay was also really good in my opinion. Great job Overall :)
I really like the concept, but it seem that it was a bit too ambitious for a 48h game jam. I'm really existed to see if you are gonna keep developping this idea. (also please let us shoot while holding the mouse button)
Oh definitely way too ambitious! lol
This was my first ever game jam, so I wasn't sure what to expect, not to mention I only started learning Unity like a month ago.
I am planning to work on this idea more! I'll keep that feedback in mind with the shooting.
Really glad I read the background description of your thought process behind it first, before I played.
Intriguing idea - can imagine that this idea could be taken far.
Thanks for taking the time to hear me out! lol
I'm gonna try and take the idea further. I'm glad people are interested in the concept!
Thanks! I'll be sure to check yours out too!
More than anything I would like to praise you for sharing an incomplete project, It's a huge part of the learning progress! And I'm sure next time you could make something amazing!
Thank you so much! That's really kind of you to say!
I'm proud that I managed to submit anything remotely functional for my first game jam. I'm definitely gonna do more after this, and hopefully next year I'll have the skills needed to better execute my vision.
Really interesting idea, if it ever becomes a full game, I'd definitely play it. Not sure if the rolling was implemented or not, but I wasn't able to get it working. Even so, great prototype ( •̀ ω •́ )✧
Thanks! It's great to hear people saying they'd be interested in this as a full game!
The rolling might not have worked in the download version. Some things got messed up after I built and uploaded the game, but I got them mostly working again in the web version at least lol
Nice idea and a cool concept. The building mode works nicely and snappy. I got confused once i cleared the faces I've built. Good effort.
Thanks! I'm glad to see you messed around with the build mode and understood how it worked.
I didn't get the chance to have the game reset back to the building mode after the enemies were cleared. In hindsight I probably could have, but I didn't wanna risk it with the submission closing in.
I think its a cool concept for a future game!
Since this is just a prototype I am not gonna rate it for the jam, because in the current state I can't really say how "good" the game will be.
That's fair honestly. I appreciate it!
Thanks for the feedback on the concept though! I am planning to try and build it out into something a bit more playable.
would probably be cool as a game, but i hope you don't mind that i rated it honestly.
Nah that's totally fair! I'm frankly just proud I managed to submit anything at all, but I'm the first to admit that what I submitted is a broken, minimalist dumpster fire LOL
I would love to see the actual game based on the idea described in the game's page. Very creative!
Thanks! I'm planning to work on it more and make a proper prototype of it, but I'm really glad people dig the concept!
i liked the idea of builing the level you then play on
Thank you!
Like you said on the page it feels more like a proof of concept and I can definitely see this being really fun once fully implemented. I feel like the most important things is to make the instructions make more sense (though I didn't do much better at that in my game) and to make the bullets have more feedback when they hurt an enemy.
I'd really appreciate it if you could take the time to review my game
That's good feedback on the instructions, and I'm happy to hear people like the concept! My main goal was just to submit something where people could visualize the concept of the game, so I could get some feedback on whether it was even worth trying to build out more.
As for the bullets, they definitely did have more feedback at one point, but they started phasing through the enemies without hurting when I gave the enemies movement, and I just didn't have time to fix that lol
