Fun chess game, even though I m bad at it. The quotes were fun to read.

Took a while to understand how to play the game, and how each unit interacted. Perhaps a quick tutorial would have helped.

Otherwise, good game.

Very much enjoyed this twist on chess!

Took me a several rounds (within one game.. I was at 30hp or so) before I got a feel for the mechanics.

Never played Autochess before, and definetly never seen before in a game jam, so really a unique experience for me. Definetly fits the revolution theme and the quotes are a nice touch.

I might not be any good at it, but I enjoyed playing nonetheless :) Might want to avoid using positional audio streams for your music, though!

I've never actually played any autochess before. This was super fun!

As a chess player myself, I found this to be quite enjoyable, and deserving of the name autochess, unlike that version that's based on DotA. I'd rather play your game than that one! Also, very difficult, as chess is meant to be. :) Enjoyed this quite a lot.

Fun game, ended up winning a few rounds with the method I like to call "Pawn Massacre" Basically fill up spaces on the board with pawns that will eventually kill or block the approaching enemies. LOL
Nearly beat the Queen.

Nice AI and I really liked how they say their famous phrases. Btw, the song is only coming from the left side of my earphone, I think you can fix it by changing it to AudioStreamPlayer instead of AudioStreamPlayer2D

Great chess game! Loads of fun with intuitive mechanics! The music and the portraits added a historical tone as well.

After some trial and error, managed to win a couple of rounds. Sneaky sniper bishops, always have to keep an eye out for them!
