I like the concept, but i found it hard to have both players simultaneously where i wanted, cause at some point i had one managing to make a jump but the other falling down, the base idea is good and the controls feel responsive, but i feel this could be improved by having the level design help with maybe locking one player in some place so you can position the other in the right spot to then have them synched to be able to reach the end at the same time, other small issue is having black text on a dark colored background made it a bit hard to read.
Other than these, its good and has a strong core idea, for a first jam it's quite allright actually :) i like the pixel art and it's a nice touch to have the light areas around the characters, just too bad that the game has no sound or music of any kind :(
Just needs a bit of tweaking but its a good start, so well done to you mate !
Passed the first level but stucked on second :)
Yep, maybe a little bit too challenging (difficulty should increase more gradually maybe?), but one of the best game mechanics i've tried so far. Good work!
Game looks pretty. I couldn't pass the first level, which is normal for my gaming skill, but others struggled too. Difficulty is hard when game deving I know. We get so used to completing it ourselves we often forget others will be playing for the first time. I struggle with this issue too!
I don't have the available playtesters I would like to prevent myself from making this error.
On my Kindred game I changed the speed of the fire 4 times hoping to find a good dificulty!
Tough to judge when you can do it easily yourself due to familiarity!
Love the concept - I had fun playing it, thanks for sharing! Like some others, I found it a little too difficult (but I know you're planning to make the difficulty increase more gradually ;) ) I loved the art style too. Well done! It would be really nice to see more story in the next update :)
I really like the art and overall concept too. However as other have said the second level is extremely difficult. I think I know how to beat it, but the movement is just a bit too quick, and the timing window is just too too tight... I end up hitting the spikes every time. Otherwise though I think it has a lot of potential as well!
Lots of potential! I like the mechanic and the art is also good. I am also in the group of people that couldn't beat the first level though :(
Coll game, and very original BUT why is it so difficult? It has so much potential. You shouldn't have put these spikes on the second level for instance. Cool pixel art btw.

Liked the game a lot altough i couldn't make it beyond the second level. :D
The art is really simplistic and nice!
Some music would add so much value tough!
I think the core idea is brilliant! As I read in other comments you want to update the game after the jame. Would love to play it again then!
Got stuck on the first level(( Tried many time to pass it.
What I really enjoyed in the game is atmosphere. So dark and grim. Real dungeon. Proper soundtrack will underline it. Great job!
I was excited to play this one, simple premise and some puzzle platforming are right up my alley. :)
But I hit the same blockers as everyone else. I did manage the first level, but got stuck here on the second.
I think I "know" the strategy but I just couldn't execute it. I go straight into the spikes almost every time.
Looking forward to trying again when there is re-release for someone of my gaming ability.
Otherwise I thought the artwork and style were fantastic. Nice work!
I like the concept and the art! I echo what everyone else says below about the responsiveness of the controls and speed of the characters. But if the levels were made easier through tweaking those things I'd love to be able to work my way to later levels :)
The game idea is brilliant! I loved it. But I could not play it because the controls are too responsive. I agree with some comments below, you move too fast and fall too fast, making it impossible to play. It is still difficult even if you know what to do. Just make everything slower and it will be much fun!
I like the game, the art is good. But I wish there was a sound and music in the game.
And I also agree with @StormKMD the game is either way hard or broken. The characters interact badly with each other, they block each other when they should help. That would the game a lot better and support the theme, for me they look like 2 brothers hate each other and evrey one trying to ruin each other plans. I hope you update the first, I wanna see what's the other levels hidden.
Overall nice game.
I have checked the source, and man the other levels are nightmares. Did you really finished the game your self. I only finished the last one (Level 5) it was easy. You should make the levels easier, and for the spikes you shoul make there hit box smaller because I die without touching them (The sprites)
I would say rebuild the game mechanics or redesign the levels.
But you could just make the hit boxes of the characters and spikes smaller, it will make the game looks not really good sense a part of the player enter the walls but it will make the player feel more free, rather that been punished for every mistake. I did it for my game and it stops it from being a nightmare since the throw controller is bad.
I love the graphics - nice use of the Godot Wild Jam banner for your initial load screen! I might just be awful at the game, but I found it really hard to get the characters onto the platforms. I knew how to solve the puzzle, but the way the characters slide and how they jump made it sort of frustrating for me...I never got past the first level :(
Hey, wanted to give some more feedback - read the other comment and I don't fully agree with it...it's not a nightmare at all, I just think the movement needs a little fine-tuning.
I think the main issue for me is that the gravity seems really high, so the characters drop really fast. They also move a little too fast in general, making it difficult to get the characters on the platforms.
I think if you turn the speed and gravity down, you'll give players the ability to correct things while they're moving, making the game a little more accessible.
Hope this helps :)
EDIT: And for what it's worth, I absolutely love the look of the game. The pixel art is super clean and it's pleasant to look at
