Really fun game! I really enjoyed the aspect of going through the same stages, but with new obstacles showing up on each iteration, really cool idea!
Also, I love the little frog, what a cutie. Great choice in art pack.
Nice work!

Great game! Why you hid it under this black and white splash image?

The controls are smooth and idea is interesting. I see that art and music is online asset, but that's fine.

I played through the whole game in one go and never thought about rage quiting. (Maybe I played to much Celeste?)

Chaining the double jump in credit scene was the best part of the game, but you never used it in any normal level...

Good game overall and with great potential!

Well I was not a fan of getting crushed by blocks.  But I did enjoy the progressive cycle of levels.  I appreciated the starting tutorial.  And then the ease of getting into things.  The end credits with the stringing the boots together to gain height could have been incorporated into one to the cycles.

That was fun! I liked the variety of mechanics. My biggest issue was how text disappears without waiting for the user: it's very easy to miss key information because I don't read fast enough. I would also have liked more variety in platform layout.

That's something that I would have changed but I had limited time working on the game (I was busy with IRL things at the time), so I was mostly just trying to keep everything stable and not falling apart hahaha. Next time though I'll definitely be taking care of issues like that properly.

It is fun to see people being panicked to reach the goal within ~7 seconds and fell to the same traps again and again lol.

Great game.

But you could make more variation in the levels

Great fun! Unfortunately most of the levels had the same layout and just slightly adjusted to be a bit more difficult, but it was nice and challenging! And I loved the end where you keep boosting up to the goal with the boots. Good job!

Hi GabrielRRussel, I really liked the feel of this game. The controls were smooth and felt good. I liked the frog double jump animation. The music was fun. I liked the final level with the multiple boots in the air to fly to the end. I was sweating every time a new cycle of the level arrived, thinking: "what is it this time?" It was great, good job.

Amazing!  What a wonderful tutorial for me about platformers!  I love how you just reused the same basic levels, adding additional challenges...so simple, yet really well done.

Thank you!

Yeah, I'm not exactly experienced with developing a platformer but I took a lot of the knowledge I knew about other games and their tutorials! The way I structured the Days made it super easy to slowly build on concepts. I think I struggled the most with designing the days 3/4/5 since they're kinda in the middle of difficulty. Day 6/7 was fun to make because it was basically a test of your precision platforming skills.

I was worried that players might miss the fact that the Boots allow you to double jump, but I didn't have the time to properly add in any type of visual cue nor an explanation, so I just hoped that by forcing the player to use that mechanic they would be able to figure it out.

Thank you for the review, it means a lot to me! If you have any other questions please ask away!
