Game Description
It's a submarine simulator! (not really)
How does your game tie into the theme?
There's an ocean, and you're literally in it.

Is this an hidden gem? I think it is!
First of all, thanks for implementing automatic save of progress. I don't think that is a game that you can do on one sitting (see more down below), and I'm very grateful that you put time to saving progress.
The polish here really shows. The UI is clear, and usable. I love the notification when an upgrade is available.
Nice mix of games like Burrito Bison and Lovers on a Dangerous Spacetime. That's quite original.
I humbly think that the submarine is a little too slow. Obstacles are easily avoidable on normal speed and it makes it a chore to collect upgrades. As gems seems to appear at a flat rate, I do not have (unfortunately) the patience to collect 2000+ gems.
But overall, I'm impressed! Congrats to the team for your hard work and the submission.
(ah, yes! shoutout the music track and the accessibility settings)
Thank you for such detailed feedback. Lovers in Dangerous Spacetime was indeed the inspiration for the original idea, but we had to reduce the complexity.
I felt like the game was a bit slow, but it was super polished and I loved the sounds and music!
Thank you. Jon did an amazing job with this.
Surprisingly polished game and very atmospheric music. It didn't feel like you used the wildcard just to use it, but the sound effects all contributed nicely.
This idea of the character having to move to the control is great and adds a bit of stress to the game. GG
Thank you very much. If you enjoy this type of controls, take a look at Lovers in Dangerous Spacetime.
Nice and fun! Great job on the submarine control mechanics. Also love the pixel art style.
Thank you!
Was fun, but getting the secret upgrade (whatever it is) is a pain! I get around a 100-150 money before I run out of oxygen, and I got to about 600 gems before I gave up. It's a fun game loop, but I wish the expedition was a bit faster paced.
Understood, thank you very much for the feedback. Balance in games is hard, and I’m a terrible game designer on top of that :D
Good game! The sub control is quite novel and challenging. The shop for upgrades system is good. Would have liked a few more types of upgrades (in addition to dive time, hit points, maneuverability), and maybe different types of resources to be collected, which would have added more variety to the game. In particular, the music and sounds (manually created?) create an eerie, deep water mood that is apt for the game. Overall good experience :)
Thank you! Initially we had tons of ideas for upgrades and powerups, but as it is usually the case, we had to cut down the scope dramatically.
Overall a great game! I especially like how you actually have to move the character to each button on the submarine instead of a more conventional way of controlling it.
Thank you for the feedback!
