Very cool and felt polished!
It was pretty hard to estimate how much I had to move my mouse because it's a different scale than steering it with my mouse on the screen though.
But I liked it nontheless.

This was super fun! Landing a note was very satisfying. I feel like where the notes drop is completely random - Sometimes, I felt like it was impossible getting all the notes that drop at once. But other than that, I spent a lot of time playing!

this was really fun! I would love to see it fixed up and improved upon in the future. maybe even a full version if that's something you have the time for?

Along with the stuff you've mentioned as planned, I'd like to see some different types of notes. Maybe ones that fall slower so you have to pay attention to it's position while falling. (maybe a variation of this could move back and fourth as well, like a leaf) and maybe a note that has to bounce more than once (small bounce before being launched offscreen) and plays 2+ notes.

anyways, it's a very unique idea for a rhythm game. These are the type of projects that make me love game jams!

Developer(+1)

The ideas you've listed are perfect because we were actually considering making a full version of this game so thank you very much for this.

Interesting rhythm game, I think it works well, not sure if I'd be able to ever catch all the notes, even though I play a lot of rhythm games. I think it's hard to be this accurate and fast by dragging with the mouse, however I like the idea, I haven't seen anything like this before and the notes sync up very well with the song.

It would be great to have some more visual feedback about where we are in the song and how many notes were missed and hit. Great job !

Fun game with good music. I  would have liked some kind of end screen though. It felt kind of awkward being left in the game with no music or notes.

The controls felt good and satisfying, probably one of the smoothest rhythm games I've played from a jam. I'd suggest being able to toggle having to click and hold to drag the bar (versus it automatically follows the mouse), as it's a little harder on just a tracpad.

Developer

"the smoothest rhythm games I've played from a jam" I'll never forget that comment.

Thanks for the suggestion also

First of all, that track slaps harder then a grandma after church. I think one mode that would be interesting to see is to have the person sleeping and if the player misses x amount of beats, they end up waking up losing the level. Overall, I enjoyed it and would love to see this expanded on if you chose to!

But funny enough you actually guessed what we were trying to make originally but didn't have the time to add so nice.

Very cool idea and a cute atmosphere. It would be nice to have some sound feedback on notes

Developer

Yeah thanks, note feedback was a time issue.

The music goes pretty hard, nice work. I found the controls a little unintuitive, and at least on my end, the audio didn't really sync up with the gameplay. Still had fun with it though!

Developer

The starting notes aren't synced with the music because it took too long to do the whole song before the deadline (I started with the middle section). but I don't really get what you mean by unintuitive controls.

Submitted

Having to hold the mouse button down during the whole game felt a bit unnecessary.

Developer(+1)

Alright cool thanks for the feedback

Submitted

Neat rhythm game! Different kind of notes would definitely make it better.

Developer

Fr but how tho?

Submitted

Simple but funny idea!

I like how the mouse input has a little "resistance". Maybe I should  consider adding that to my submission, too (I have the same input method: mouse controls x-axis).

Developer

Well if you want to add it then the way I did it was by adding the mouse movement to the velocity of the object that is moving (using kinematic bodies). This was also a last minute idea since you were originally going to control using the arrow keys but it seemed a little bit too limited for this type of game.

Thank you for sharing some insights :)

I agree with the over comment about needing some audio feedback on the notes. But the music bangs and it's quite satisfying.  I wish it leant more into the controlling dreams theme as I didn't really see the connection. Overrall really fun, and would be interested to see it fleshed out more

I already responded to your comment on the page but have this

it's our pleasure.

nice little game, love the style of the slider to hit notes, it's smooth but i think it could done with being faster moving so it's more responsive.

Developer

There is actually a reason it isn't responsive actually. It adds difficulty and makes it more appealing to people who actually want to master the game since it isn't too "easy" to master. Thanks for the suggestion tho.
