Well done! Great intro scene which had a lot of detail and setup the story.  Loved the robot animation, especially when jumping. Platforming movement and attack felt smooth. Nice big sword that felt good to swing around :) Also good job on the "Disassemble" wildcard.

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much. We planned to add even more "disassembly" but we only had enough time to shut down the abilities. It's still turned out pretty cool IMO but we decided that it's not enough for the "Disassemble" wildcard. It's cool that you noticed this, even though we didn't specify that.

Awesome story, really good worldbuilding at the beginning - I thought that captivating. Controls took some getting used to, but it was fun still. I wish I could go quicker through the dialog, but it was no big deal!

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much!

Nice game! It was pretty fun, although the controls did take me a minute to get used to. But once I had the controls down, it was an enjoyable experience! Great work!

Developer

Thanks a lot! I'm glad you enjoyed our game.

I found the animation of the robot super smooth! cutscene nice too!

Developer(+1)

It's all thanks to Animation Tree :D I'm glad you liked it

Love the intro cutscene and the artwork, especially the color palette. Definitely recommend you include some audio next time around, but great job anyway!

Developer

Thank you!  I usually do my own audio and it's especially sad for me that I didn't have time for that. I'm glad you liked the palette, we originally went with the Ghibli palette but we decided that it wasn't dream-like enough so we changed it to look more like NMS :)

Fun platformer - like the idea of losing team members/abilities.

As other mentioned being able to skip the intro would have been nice also music and sfx really would have been a nice touch - understand the time constraints.

Lastly, an additional scene at the end would be great too.

Developer

Thank you very much. Do you mean a scene after the outro? I'm now really worried that you didn't get the outro scene

Love the art work. The into sequence was great and well detailed but I wish it went by a bit quicker. Have a way to skip to the next scene once I read it all would be have been nice. The controls in game were a bit awkward but the gameplay was still fun. Great concept and use of the theme!

Developer

Thank you! Yeah, we added the intro sequence at the last moment in a rush and the goal was just to have it there. I'm glad you enjoyed the overall game.

Cool central mechanic and great animation and art, like others have said the controls need some work, but otherwise great game!

Developer

Thank you! The controls should've been better but unfortunately, we hadn't had time to polish it (we planned to make it controller-friendly as well as allow rebinding).  I'm glad you liked the overall game

Great use of the theme and wildcard! I wouldn't expect a game made for a jam to have so much lore, I'm pleasantly surprised! Keep up the great work

Developer

Thank you! I'm glad you liked it, it took us some serious brainstorming to come up with the lore.

This is a very unique game and I love the art and animation and the game feels complete. I had a fun time playing, great work!

Developer

Thank you very much!

I'm usually not into story games but this one hit the spot for me, and those sweet animations in the intro ... super unique story and engaging, loved the gameplay, the mechanics ideas and implementation. Would definitely play it casually. There is one small bug where you can ride the walking enemy. Great Job =D

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much for playing! and for pointing out the bug :)

Pretty cool platformer! Kinda wish that I could remap the controls. Not sure if its random or the last person that used their ability gets hit, but would be nice to highlight the last person selected to know who you are going to lose if its the latter. Great work on the intro and the platforming!

Developer

Thank you for your feedback! The idea was to lose the random person because you never know who's going to be killed next :)

Very interesting take - very similar to a lot of TV shows, but I actually think I like your rendition of it better. I felt like the control scheme was a bit weird, but I imagine if I had used a controller, it would have been fine. "High jump? Okay, you can die, we need everyone else!" Or whatever it was absolutely slayed me. Very impressive for a first jam!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! We actually planned to make it controller-friendly so the control scheme was a temporary solution but unfortunately we didn't have enough time for that.

Submitted(+1)

That makes sense! Still pretty great.

Really cool original idea with the different characters effecting the powerups. Really liked the backgrounds. Unfortunately soft locked myself and didn't want to sit through the cutscene again to see the end of the game.

Developer

Thank you very much! I just patched the game so maybe you'll want to give it another go. The cutscene is still gonna be unskippable though because it's not a critical bug :)
