So cool!!!
I like the style and difficulty is on point for me.
However the timing on turn is hard to get and the gamplay gets... unnatural. I had to force myself to press the buttons early to get the move I want.
Anyway, great idea, looks good, design is great. ++
There is so much that is good here. The graphics, the animation. The puzzles. The challenge. But... and it's a big but, the controls are really odd. I expected A to turn left and for D to turn right. It's very hard to adjust!
I'll try again and maybe I'll get used to it!
This is a great game! Lots of polish, a well thought out gameplay loop, and great visuals and audio. You’ve received lots of feedback on the controls, so instead I’d like to mention that I think this would really shine with some adaptive music.
Like, introducing a fast paced drum beat when you pick up a chilli, having some kind of happy travel motif when you have passengers, or having the music turn big and ponderous when you have a certain number of carriages.
That’s just a suggestion, of course. Overall this was such a cool game it doesn’t really need it.

This is a really cool concept to The Snake game and turning it into a puzzle game. I wish the snake was a little more forgiving but I also might be bad just seem to run into walls while I am trying to turn at the tile before I hit but I am too slow.

Very good game. You turned snake into a fun little puzzle platformer / rythm game. I like it. The powerups were very well introduced, great level design.

I love the concept, art style, and audio. It's a very polished game! The only thing I had trouble with is identifying exactly when to turn, because the art style is so good it's difficult to tell exactly where the underlying grid cells are. I think adding very faintly visible grid lines would help a little to make the controls less frustrating without taking too much challenge out of it.
This has good potential! I had fun but got frustrated by dying without any apparent reason. I was more than a square away from closest wall and didn't go into myself. Bad loser, apparently :D
No but I think you could have added a death animation, or crash animation and made sure that it happens when you actually crash into the wall. Now it happens WAY before any real crash occurs. So that was a little sad to me.
Music fit very well, good jungle theme :D
Also interesting idea to have an objective driven snake with wagons, it was an original take on a classic game.
The controls were what made me quit after a few levels.

Great idea and creative take on the theme! I loved this as a puzzle game.
Obviously labouring the point here, but I definitely got frustrated without some "cayote time" on the tiles. I definitely did not feel like I had hit stuff. Either way, with that tweak I think you will have a unique and marketable idea here for a bigger project!

This is a fantastic entry. Its super creative. The art and sound are excellent, and I really loved the puzzles you've build. This is a fun twist on snake that is very well executed. My only issue is the same that others have mentioned, which is that the controls are super punishing. I think with some more forgiving controls, you basically have a complete product if you can come up with more great levels. Amazing job.
I like that is just train as snake but the twist of the passengers, the only thing to improve is the controls, they aren't responsive enough, the feedback of the tile you're at is also weird, but it is not consistent when you press (sometimes it turns fast other times it completely ignores your input).
really nice aesthetic, and really cool concept! only negative is that the controls feel a little off and sometimes my inputs dont seem to go through :(
I have no idea what the bomb pear is supposed to do, but it looks important! I think the game could use some instructions, but otherwise it's awesome!

Here is a table of what each fruit does :)
Growth fruit: Adds a wagon when consumed | |
Big Growth fruit: Adds 3 wagons when consumed | |
Boost fruit: Gives a temporary boost to speed | |
Shrink fruit: Removes one wagon when consumed | |
Ghost fruit: Allows you to pass through yourself one time |
As a little extra, a Golden frog will remove golden rocks from the map
Love the art and sound. Love the little frogs on the snake express. Game is extremely difficult for me though. Took me a while to get through the first level and gave up on the second one. I didn't realize some of the rocks were obstacles are first and was wondering what I was hitting. They blended in a bit too much for my taste. Also the first time I picked up all the frogs I thought I was supposed to crash into the delivery spot not drive by. That was annoying and I had it do it over but I should have known better lol.
Extra props to having configurable controls and volume adjustments!
Superb cute art and fun concept.. my caveat is that the controls are too unforgiving! The snake goes way too fast and the inputs dont seem to always go through
