Short and sweet but I loved my time with it.

The graphics are super cute and the gameplay was super fun. Definitely felt a bit over'well'med at a few points ;)

Really great stuff!

Developer

lol I completely missed the opportunity to use this pun!! Thanks for playing and leaving a comment :)

A very cool and nice game. It took me some time to understand how wishes go to the pointer but it was fairly easy to understand.

The graphics are very good, the music gave me some Berlin techno vibes :D

Great job!

Haha I asked my brother to make me some "Super Nintendo psy trance music" and I think he nailed it :)

Thanks for the feedback! Perhaps a brief tutorial could make it easier to pick up and learn quickly rather than making players go through a bit of trial-and-error first.

Very nice art, animations and virtually no bugs. It would've been nice to have some variation on the bubble launch SFX, but it's a minor gripe.

Overall, it's great & surprisingly polished!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! That's an easy tweak I can add in an update after the jam is over.

Thanks for playing! :)

I got trouble to understrand the controlls at the begining. But after I figured it out, after I saw the attached gif) it was a great experience. Lovely cute art and music!

Developer

Glad the GIF helped! Thanks for playing :)

actually the way I played it is different from what it shown in the gifs at this page. This is what I realized now when writing a comment xD . So I was just coming close to the "enemies" and clicking LMB and running to the next target.

overall cute game and very well designed! great job!

Developer

It's always interesting how we discover our own way of playing. Perhaps I could make this into a feature: either [click & release] to instantly launch at your position, or [click and hold] to aim a long-distance throw. Maybe they could have two different types of projectiles too depending on which you use. Your play style would be quicker and need a bit more movement speed added. That could be really fun too.

Thanks for playing and leaving a comment! :)

Agree with the other comments, took some getting used to. However not even 30 seconds it's immensly enjoyable, only wish it went on for longer :)

Great polish, well done!

Developer

Thanks for playing! :)  I'll think about how I could expand on this, adding more levels/waves, and introducing some different mechanics. Here's a sneak peek of a sprite I didn't get around to implementing before the jam's deadline.

This game is really neat. has a nice gameplay loop and feels like a complete finished polished project. the graphics went very well with this game. tho, it did take me a bit to get used to projectiles aimed from the player coming from the well.

Developer(+1)

This seems to be the most common feedback I'm getting, so I'll have to think about this... perhaps if the dotted line target was coming from the Wishing Well, it would feel more connected. I can see it being a little disjointed since the dotted line comes from the character, but doesn't actually shoot a projectile himself.

Thanks for playing and leaving some feedback! :)

A lovely game! I liked charming pixel art and how dynamic game feels.

At first, it wasn't obvious to me that the character I'm moving around is connected to the wishing well, but after I figured out what to do, I managed to fulfill all wishes of cloudboys.

Overall, the game is quite simple and short but feels very polished and well-made. I didn't find any bugs or technical issues. Great job!

Developer

Thanks for playing and glad you enjoyed the pixel art! I had a lot of fun creating the character :)

I'll have to think about a way to make him feel more connected to the Well. I think I could come up with some visual ways to connect them without changing too much of the gameplay code.

Love the visuals on this and the music goes great with the game too. The controls were a bit wonky at first, and the shots feel a little unresponsive but overall I liked it! It's also way too hard for me lol

Developer

I appreciate the feedback — i think I've discovered a few minor bugs that make the character have a bit of unresponsiveness/brief lag when he switches between attacks & movement. I'll try to squash those bugs, and perhaps increase the projectile speed a bit to help compensate as well. Thank you for playing! :)
