Could be a fun mobile time-killer if polished! But please, never EVER mix pixels of different sizes! You can ensure this doesn’t happen by deciding on a resolution for your art in advance and drawing everything as if the window’s size was as small as your art pretends it is. In Godot, you can accomplish this by going to the Window section of the project settings, setting the viewport width and height to the smallest values, at which your game would render pixels at a 1:1 ratio, setting stretch mode to “viewport” and scale mode to “integer”.
Thank you for the review. It was a deliberate decision for us to mix different pixel densities, as we weren't aiming for strictly canonical pixel art. Maintaining a consistent ratio was challenging due to the cat changing in size, and using a preset viewport would have made it appear even jankier. I'm aware of the standards within the pixel art community, and apologize if our game disappointed you. We weren't aiming for that traditional look.

I resisted the urge to eat and made it through 🐱. Really well made and fun game, plus it's always nice to see other cat games
This was a super cute game! I thought the controls were a little touchy, but it added to the difficulty in a good way. The music and sound effects were engaging, and the art style was very nostalgic. Great work!
This reminds me of those games I would play on my family computer like 10 years ago in the best way possible. Really cute and I liked the art! Ended up beating it; Great work overall!
Great game, I would love it if I could get the speed boost of multiple mice
In hindsight, that really would've been a fun addition. Thanks for playing!
I myself was not able to load the game (on Mac) and have to go by companions opinion
Sorry to hear that :( But thank them for their nice review!
My companion currently has not joined Itch yet, he did play your game and asked me to forward it ^^:

The balance is a bit on the easy side, but that's not bad during a game-jam, as it gives everyone a chance to see the end (hi mooncat).
Artwise, relatively simple, but I liked the way the characters grow, and you can't go wrong with slowly scrolling upwards to reveal more of the background, that's always a classic.
The audio is a bit repetitive, but the game is short enough that this doesn't really get in the way.
Short and sweet.
This game is a runner. Get your cat as far as you can and dodge...well...everything, really.
I think there were problems with the resolution on this one. I get the sense that this one is supposed to mimic the feel of a mobile platform, but it ended up cutting off part of the screen.
When I hit the snail, things kind of...broke down...in a game-breaking way.
I think it will be important for the team to continue with this project and see if they can replicate and fix the occurring issues. Do not Despair, for you cannot be stronger if things like this don't happen.
I had a good laugh with this one
its pretty fun! reminds me a lot of those games you would get on your phone in like, 2014, thought one problem i have with it is that theres no gameover so when you lose it just keeps going on and on infinitly so it feels a bit meaningless
Hi. Thanks for playing. I'm glad you enjoyed the game.
About losing. When you gain enough mass, you start going down and eventually fall and lose. There will be a game over screen after that :)
It's the first game here I encounter with phone compatible screen. It's very nice and simple, and in the same time fun to play, great job
Unfortunately the backgrounds are broken on mobile. It's playable, but make sure to try it on a computer for the full experience :)
Very cute! Simple, but fun. Nice work!
Nice game . Art very cute and the gameplay is simple but on point. I did fall for the trap of eating fish the first time XD. Plus , the game was challenging but not to much .:) GJ!
Hilarious! :D I love that wonky music so much :D But it is important to play after some point, if you eat to many fishes at the start, you just can't drop em in one batch, so you keep on growing :( also sound of dropping(pooping?) sounds like you hurt the cat ;_;
In the end I spend good time playing it :)
Very fun game. I love how everyone falls for that initial trap of not realizing that you should actually avoid the fish. I also initially thought that the game might be a balancing act of eating fish and avoiding fish when needed. Regardless, super cute graphics and the gameplay was great. Just had to control myself from making the cat ofurloaded despite him just looking so CUTE
Thanks for the review! Which cat did you play as?
Super cool game!
I like the comment below it was a little unclear that eating the fish was bad but it clicked after that.
I also had an issue where if I lost the game would put itself in a sort of softlock, causing me to have to refresh, not sure what caused that.
Overall awesome job!!!! :3
Hi, thank you for playing.
There is a bug where the only input functioning on the death screen is the left mouse click, which restarts the level.
Really nice graphics and music fit the vibe perfectly. Absolutely loved the pirate cat character haha
It was a little unintuitive that collecting fish is actually "bad" in this game, so that took a minute to understand I was meant to dodge them as much as possible. But once I figured out how to play, I was determined to meet my SPACE CAT MOM and beat it!
I kind of had my fill after one level though, and wasn't sure how much longer it was going to take to reach the end. Was it 3 levels? Or 5, or 10?! Some sort of tracker of progression would have been nice so I knew how close I was to the goal. Since there were level transitions, I also expected new mechanics or items introduced with the new level, but all that really changed was the background. That being said, the graphics were beautiful and charming, so I enjoyed seeing the different environments even though the gameplay was the same.
So I stuck it out and I reached space on my 3rd attempt and completed the game! Nice job!
