Hey sorry wanted to stream it but life got in the way.
Notes while playing: Woah fast movement. Graphics look nice
Not sure if I did first level as planned, I stacked the cubes and pushed them one by one
I struggled a bit on the tiny platforms (like the cubes) with the combination of fast impulse and no coyote time. The fall part of the jump is a bit floaty. Pretty good controls overall, but I really struggle in platformers without coyote.
Aah physical form changing - nice. Can I get squished as a blob under the cube and do a Metal Gear Solid? Guess not.
Ok took me a while to notice the liquid form can be used to go there - I took it for background for some reason.
Lol managed to get stuck in the wall by getting pushed by the falling cube while changing into fart mode.
hmm so second cube is useless in that level.
🤦♂️ I dragged the cube all the way on the third level not noticing it blocked the camera at the end. For some reason I wanted to use it as a cover or something.
Wooh the gas pushing gas sound is a bit too brutal. Otherwise music and sounds are alright.
Ooooh I can push blocks like this as a slime.
My brain is taking a long time to recognize, but it’s getting late I’m a bit tired. Maybe they can be a bit more visible though.
Leaderboard seems broken.
Anyway great entry overall. I haven’t seen the “change of matter state” interpretation of the theme much, though it was a pretty obvious one to me. Maybe too obvious so not many people took it?
and cool that you teamed up Noskire, I think you don’t usually (?)
No problem about the stream, I didn't have much time this week either.
I wanted to do coyote time, but in the end I didn't have time. As solid form was only a third of the player, I decided to prioritize other things. :/
The level you posted a screenshot of should have 2 ways to solve: The first is to move the upper right box all the way to the left to open the door and go around to the exit. The path in the upper right corner should have been more hidden, like a secret passage, but in the end it wasn't so hidden. ^^'
On the next level I did the same as you (it was drifter who did that one), so don't worry hahaha
The leaderboard is broken, sadly, we only noticed it after the deadline.
Yes, third time as a team, I think 10 times solo. Hahaha!
Thank you for playing and for the feedback! I'm glad you liked it! <3
Nice work, it was really challenging (disclaimer- I'm not so good at platformers), but fun to figure out the puzzles!
Thank you for playing and for the feedback! I'm glad you liked it! :)
I liked the atmosphere of the game! A cool idea and environment for a platformer. I agree with some of the comments that the controls could be a little tighter and the jumping feels kinda off. Overall nice submission !
Thank you for playing and for the feedback! I'm glad you liked it! :)
This was a lot of fun! Some of the levels (at least for me) were pretty tough but I was able to clear it. The leaderboard was a really cool addition too. Loved the sound, graphics, and level design! Really well done with the different forms.
Thank you for playing and for the feedback! I'm glad you liked it! :)
Good game and it's pretty fun but maybe I'm not used to these physics. For example Sevadusk recently wrote about jump key feeling unresponsive but I think it's because game needs jump buffer where you can "preorder" a jump slightly above the floor, even if you didn't even fully touch the ground.
But music, art and atmosphere is pretty cool, so your graphics are spot on. Good job to everyone on the team
To be honest, I didn't think about doing a jump buffer, but I thought about the coyote time and in the end I didn't have time. :/ But I agree that both would make the gameplay better. Thank you for playing and for the feedback! :)
Nice take on the theme, but I think the jump key is slightly unresponsive and you have a tiny margin of error. I was able to get through a few levels, but those two issues combined destroy the platformer core. I also think changing forms with h,j,k is a bit clunky. The graphics were really cool, and I like the atmosphere. The difficulty curve is extreme but justified. Great entry with potential after a few controller fixes!
I though about doing coyote time and fine tuning the controls, in addition to key bindings in the menu, but in the end we didn't had enough time for that, sadly. Thank you for playing and for the feedback! :)
Really great execution on a unique concept. Puzzle difficulty curve was excellent for introducing the different forms and there was a good balance between planning ahead and tight input timing (e.g switching to gas form after pushing the upper right block on the last level).
Thank you for the feedback! We were unsure about the difficulty curve, I'm glad you liked it! :D
Nice submission! I liked the idea of changing forms, but I also really struggled to get past the first level - it was very tedious to maintain 2 blocks while moving them. But I made it, not without some rage though :)
I also liked the ambience!
I couldn't get the top box to stick to the bottom one in time, sorry about that. I hope you enjoyed the other levels more! ^^' Thank you for the feedback!
Unfortunately I'm really bad at platformers, so I couldn't make it past the first level (I was able to get the two blocks on top of each other, but I couldn't ever manage to get them both pushed over to under the exit without the top one either falling on my head, or miss-calculating the jump to re-balance the top block and pushing it too far). I tried a many times, but eventually just have to admit that's a skill I don't have. I loved the ambiance - the graphics and music really worked well to sell it.
Hello!
Sorry you ran into this issue. for anyone else who's struggling with this particular situation, try jumping whenever the box gets close to the left edge, ensuring the box stays in the middle as your're pushing the one beneath.
glad you liked it though!
I couldn't get the top box to stick to the bottom one in time, sorry about that. But if you're curious, the purple tissue box posted a video on discord #jam-discussion completing our entire game in less than a minute! Hahahaha! Either way, thank you very much for the feedback! :D
Great game. Well polished. Could be for sale on Steam.
Wow! Thank you very much! I'm glad you liked it! <3
You guys got me with the speedrun timer - I played about 50 times or so. 100% certain I missed the intended solution to some of these but I imagine the rooms were hard to design with the options available to the player. Final time 44ish seconds! I think a coyote timer and/or a jump buffer would help the solid form out a ton.
I thought about coyote time, but sadly we didn't had much time in the end. Also sadly the leaderboard didn't workout in the end, you would probably be in first for a really long time. hahahaha Thanks for playing and I'm glad you liked it! <3
It’s a great game, i liked how the mechanics where used to make the map and puzzles the more interactive they can.
Thanks again for playing so fast and for the feedback! I'm glad you liked it! <3
