How does your game fit the theme?
In my game you play as the operator of a space mining station. You sell the mined raw materials on markets in space and on earth and research samples to unlock new resources.

Professional-looking UI graphics 🙂.

Gameplay
Slow pace, but a nice relaxing game to play and meet the win conditions. Some reading in the beginning. Perhaps a small tutorial would have been nice. The UI works well and is clear. The ability to drag and drop windows is useful. Also the fact that it is made with HTML and such is extra kudos to you.

Graphics
Slick UI 😁. Very nice. Drag and drop the UI is cool. Images are very clear too. Maybe some more animations and cargo ship would be a bonus.

Audio
Relaxing background track and the voice is nice to listen to also. Maybe some extra SFX when you press some buttons like sell. Or a cash SFX when you earn money. Something maybe for in a future update.

Theme
Space mining station..check...fits the theme🙂

Devlog
Good clear devlog with a few images to clarify. Nice!

Overall a fun and also relaxing game to play and nice to look at the UI. Well done 💪!

Really nice! it's the game i played for longest in this jam so far. I think behind everything, there could be some activity going on, maybe some miner robots while harvesting. But it's very polished overall. On the devlog side, i would like to read the second part, i don't know if i missed it or there is no part 2.

Thanks! Yeah, the mining drone traffic was on my ideas list - but haven't had the time to implement it - had to skip so many things :-/ Devlog part 2 is coming! I will keep you noted - hope to finish it by tomorrow, to give you a chance to also rate it.

Gameplay - Very slow paced. It works well as a game that you play in the background and check in on every now and then. The mechanics and winning conditions seem pretty unbalanced though.

Graphics/Art - Really impressive and polished.

Audio - Good sound design, but the winning message kept being repeated which got a little annoying.

Theme - spot on!

Devlog - looks super promising! I wanna see part 2 :)

Thank you for your feedback. It makes me so happy to see that you showed the patience to learn & play it till the end.

I was so busy with implementing and connecting all the many bits and pieces, that I could enjoy my first real playthrough only after I had submitted the game (until then the game time was constantly running at 10x speed, so it gave me at least somehow a chance to test it for longer periods). That shouldn't be an excuse for the bad balance - the project was way too oversized, and I should have foreseen that. That's also the reason why the wining message is looping: I was running into that bug during my first playthrough - too late to release a fixed version.

Devlog part 2 is coming. I will keep you noted!

Gameplay - The amount of windows I started with was a bit overwhelming. There was a lot I could maybe do, and a lot I could probably not do. I think I understand the game a little bit better, but it is still really confusing. The wall of text at the start also was a bit overwhelming since it was just so long I decided to skip it. If there could be a less overwhelming tutorial, this game has great potential because I can see it has quite a bit of depth in it.

Graphics - Brilliant graphics.

Audio - Music, SFX and voice acting. I dont need to say anything else except its all really good.

Theme - Unique take on the theme while being set in space. Well done!

Devlog - I will probably have to come back to this at a later date, but the devlog feels too specific about javascript. It doesnt discuss anything else whilst being really detailed and flows quite well about javascript.

Thank you for your kind review Penguine :-) Makes me happy to hear you like the Art so much. Getting the voice "right" was a challenge for me - but finally I found some effect settings that delivered a decent result.

It isn't beginner friendly, true. It needs MUCH longer than 10 minutes to deliver the experience it was created for. You can say, I've implemented the prototype of an atypical Jam game ;-) But I was aware of that from the beginning. I was carrying the idea for such a game for a very long time around in my head. This Jam provided the right theme and mood - and triggered me to finally give it a serious try. "Create | Learn | Enjoy" - Check! check! check! - What else can one expect?

I postponed the "Do you really want to leave the page" dialog for too long, and at the end had no time to implement it. My bad - I am so sorry.

This wasn't exactly my type of game, but judging objectively this was awesome. The amount of work that has to go into making something like this is crazy.

Gameplay: Seemed really intressting, but even with the tutorial I felt a little swamped by all the tabs. It might be cool to have the player start with one tab and unlock more one by one as they do different things.

Art: Awesome, everything seemed to fit together nicely.

Audio: Seemed like it fit perfectly for this game, and I loved the AI!!!

Theme: Quite Good

Devlog: Very informative, but not the most entertaining devlog.

Thank you for playing my game and for giving feedback :-) Glad to hear you like my art and the AI (I have little experience with audio, and had to try a lot until the voice sounded like this).

Was thinking about your suggestion of how to make the start more smoothly. You have a very good point here, that sparked an idea in my head of how to adapt this idea of progressive learning. Thank you also very much for this one!

I love the click-tutorial-link to shake the relevant window. Excellent touch for a tutorial. The graphics are lovely. I did kind of feel like I couldn't get away from 1.0 ish money, even though I was researching as hard as I could. Still no idea how to unlock the earth market -- I think it has to do with doing research and getting lucky enough to discover the right elements? Anyway, gorgeous graphics, nice idle-style game.

Money early on is a matter of luck - and depends on how the dices fall regarding the selling prices for Essential resources (I was planning to change prices frequently, but totally forgot about that). A soon as you have unlocked certain Industrial metals or even Platinum metals, you can sell them for much higher prices. The trick is to research common samples only until you have collected more than 50 research points. After that, focus on rare samples (much better chances to unlock Industrial metals) and as soon as you can research exceptional samples, go for them - if you had enough luck to find one until then. Latest when Platinum metals get unlocked, cash is rolling...
