Another fun hectic shooter from Grasp Games 😁

Gameplay
It is certainly an improvement on the previous game jam shooter 💪. Controls feel better. It is still very hectic, but that is what makes it so challenging. Fun to play. Being able to skip the intro with a button would be nice. A pause button or pause menu would have been handy too. A nice bonus for an update or other game is perhaps an online leaderboard in the game itself.

Graphics
Colorful, nice 2D art and background plus beautiful spaceships. Lots of things happen on your screen in terms of colour and effects. But it does fit together.

Audio
Loud music. But exciting sound track. Sound fx are sometimes a little absent by the loud track, but still present. Solid audio.

Theme
A lot of space things in the game. Check 😉.

Devlog
Comprehensive devlog with illustrations for clarification. Nice piece of work.

Another nice game made. Keep improving like this. Good job.

Thank you so much…

It has a pause button, i.e., “P”.

waaaaay too loud with no volume control. great devlog.

Developer

Yeah, actually there is no easy way to make a volume control, using, Game Maker 8.0 pro. Well, thanks for playing….

Submitted(+1)

well that sucks. as a non code person myself I feel your pain

Developer

Yeah sir, It’s really hard, as well as, my laptop’s RAM is also low.

Pretty good game. Lots of colors - but still consistent look & feel. As others said, the music is too loud in comparison to the sound fx.

Developer

Thank you so much…

Well that was above my expectations this was pretty cool game with great Textures i wonder which program do u use in texturing

the music bumped the adrenaline to my veins really great effort keep on going!

Developer(+2)

Thank you soo much sir for your great words 😃. Well, the Spaceships here were made from Blender, then made a top-down view of the spaceships, so that they look realistic in top down 2d. The background and other graphics were made in Adobe Photoshop. The GUI graphics, like , Ships, Score, Territory Life, missiles, etc. were made from AAALogoMaker.

Gameplay - Simple side scroller but appears to be infinite which random waves of enemies, could be enjoyable for a while depending on the person playing.

Graphics - Majority of art is good and fits well, even a particle system however some bits of text feel stretched a bit.

Audio - Good choice of music, not much SFX though

Theme - Literally in space

Devlog - Lots of details, lots of pictures, quite insightful. Could've had more detail about how certain things were added/fixed though.

Extra Notes - Wanted to install DirectPlay but I dont see any reason why if its to do with networking.

Thanks for the review, and th game finishes all the waves in the score 7000. THE GAME IS NOT ENDLESS, IT HAS AN END.

Yes, sir, one must be outstanding at games to finish it.

Tip:- You can stay at the bottom or at the top of the screen to save your ship health, and after 100 score, health powerups appears simultaneously, and after 150 score, missile powerups appears simultaneously, if you can understand the system, you can get through all the bosses.

Thank you so much for this awesome review, I literally realised that the cutscene part took a little long time for players, but I realised about it, after the jam submissions were over, I will make a click to skip system, afterwards.

I said I would play your game, but unfortunately, I  won't be able to play it, since there's only windows build.

Developer(+1)

No problem sir, I will try build for other machines too.

Gameplay: Definitely a fun game to play. However, I did feel that it got very repetitive fast. Although it does progress in difficulty eventually, the player's role didn't change much.

Art: Everything fit in the game nicely. I like how the background was moving and the particle effects were nice.

Audio: Sounds great!

Theme: Seemed ok.

Devlog: It was a little bit long, but I did like how you planned everything out day by day with the note pad. I can definitely tell that you put a lot of effort into the game. I hope you do well in the rating results.

Thank you so much for your review. The game is easy to play, just you have to do, is to stay at bottom part or at the topmost part, so that you don’t lose much health, and after score:-250, health and missile powerups comes spawning simultaneously. I hope you would play well, and get through all the 3 zones and bosses.

Thank you…
