How does your game fit the theme?
It is in space. You shoot asteroids by using your spacebar.
Other things you want to share with the players of your game.
I hope you enjoy my first submission to a game jam! :3
Devlog: Programming the game went smootly, doing a little coding every day after school until my submission. Where I struggled was when came the time to put it on itch... It just wouldn't work! I tried a lot of things before discovering that the issue was that I needed to write 'image.PDF' and not 'image.pdf'... Now that I know this, I might upload more games on itch and participate in other game jams! :)

Nice little shooter game 🙂!
Gameplay
Hectic shooter where you have to pay close attention 😁. Fun to play. The controls were tricky at times. I had also expected and hoped to be able to turn my axis to shoot in all directions where the enemies come today. But this way it was a nice challenge. The main menu where you choose the option by flying to it is also neat. Perhaps a hint as to which keys to press for the powerups would have been helpful in the UI though.
Graphics
Nice 2D graphics and effects. The laser was cool to shoot 😁!
Audio
Catchy soundtrack and some solid SFX. Maybe some extra sounds for destroying objects would be nice in an update.
Theme
Space shooter & space bar...check 😉
Devlog
Present, but very short. Would be nice to read some more on how you made the game etc.
Fun shooter. Keep up the good work 💪!
Having all the enemies appear randomly with no warning makes it pretty challenging, but overall was a nice little shooter.
Can't get it to play in browser :(
It should work on google.
Nice work !
The space octopodes (octopuses? octopi?) got me and put an end to my space shippy adventure - these guys are just too fast for me, and attack from top and bottom. However, I am a big fan of octopodes in real life - still plan to make a game with them one time...
I like the background music, it fits pretty well - it is a popular song, but can't remember the name... (can't find any credits for this on your games page, have I missed them?)
I put the links in the description.
really nice
Rated your game, please rate my game too…
Extra words:- Nice entry.
Still have until Sunday! :)
Why nice try?
👍🏻
Gameplay: Great game! I had alot of fun playing it. I quite enjoyed how you added alot of extra mechanics instead of just having the ship shoot. However, the control keys you used were pretty hard to use. I would have loved to use WASD instead an have my right hand open to use the mouse.
Art: Looks pretty good. Red sus Lol. I think you could have had the asteroids rotate to the direction they were moving and and some more particles.
Audio: Sounds great! Seemed to fit.
Theme: Seemed ok.
Devlog: It was a little bit short, but it was ok.
Please consider trying out my game.
Pretty fun! It took a while to get used to the enemy patterns. I lost quite a bit of health in the beginning because It started so quickly. The game was quick to restart, so this wasn't that big of a deal.
Gameplay: Nice space shooter, but I don't know how I feel about objects randomly launching at you
Art: Nice
Audio: Cool music
Theme: It's in space
Devlog: Short, but concise
Apart from rating, the background on itch really hurt my eyes lol
It's a cool game, but I think if you're gonna make something as chaotic as this, you should let your players control their rotation.
I wasn't able to start up the game? The play button didn't seem to work.
You need to click the screen and then move the ship to the start button with the arrow keys. I know it’s a bit confusing. :)
Exceeellent! I especially like the player sprite rocket animations, the windows-error sound for getting hurt, and the music. I like the touches of comedy you added with the the windows-error sound and imposters. The menu that you move the ship over was clever and original!
The devlog could be longer, but you did point out a useful export tip. 5 stars for everything except devlog, since the devlog could be a bit longer or add more context to how you designed the game. I'm curious where you were using PDFs in the game, too. By the way, to make the devlog a bit easier to find for future reviewers, you can Edit Submission and add the link to your devlog to this page.
Regardless of how rating turns out, this is amazing work for a first game jam submission! Congrats
Nice work, hope you would rate my game too.
