I didn't play the game myself, so I won't leave a rating (I have to rate UX too, but I can't).

I'll leav you some suggestions after watching the video though.

A 650mb game for the content I saw is actually pretty high, I think you should look into the files added in your build as I believe you can optimize it a lot, like reducing the amount of vertices of 3d models to make them less heavy, reduce the size of textures, reduce the size of music and sound effects (i.e. compress them as much as possible), etc...

I also saw the solutions to the various level are pretty hard to think about imo, you could still leave those levels in but I believe you should make the player start from easier levels, with easier puzzles, preferrably with less elements on the scren to interact with so that you don't have a pretty much infinite numebr of options to choose from to get to the solution. Plus the mechanics of the levels I saw seem very complex, I think you should consider introducing to those mechanics in a safer and more graspable way instead of letting the player discover those by accident before they could solve the level.

Finally, I see you rely heavily on post processing effects, they look cool obviously, but make the game lag a lot (I saw some other players pointing out lag, and its an UE5 game therefore it is already pretty laggy by default).

Game looked nice though, and I especially liked the level's concept and final cutscene, they were funny.

Good job, keep it on :D

I read your feedback. The file size is so big maybe because I added sum models that are not in the game. The models were used to make some videos for ig to announce the game launch. The controls were supposed to be showed in a more… comfortable way? The thing is that I wanted to make the game a lot longer but I made the game in 5 days. The postproccesing is not really lagging the game if you set the game options to low. I made sure that the game is well optimized. Ofc it will lag on a potato. Thanks for the feedback doe :>

Nice unreal visual 💪🎮!

GAMEPLAY
This game has some fun puzzles, although at times it leaves you pondering the next step..🙂. Some additional instructions in a future update could bridge this gap, making the gameplay more intuitive and inviting. The controls are manageable, yet the initial lack of guidance adds a layer of challenge😄. Watching the accompanying video clarifies the gameplay, making actions more understandable and let me finish some levels...

ART STYLE / VISUALS
The use of Unreal Engine shines through, rendering a visually pleasing experience despite the hefty download size, which might deter some players to play it unfortunately. The visuals are undeniably appealing, though a tad overdone on the post-processing, yet that does contributes to the game's ambiance/atmosphere. The main menu is enjoyable 🙂!

AUDIO / SOUND DESIGN
The audio and sound effects are okay and did fit the overall game ambiance

THEME
The theme is in here, checking the box!

In conclusion: a good-looking game with a promise of an engaging adventure with some updates maybe. Keep this good work going💪!

Fun game, everything looks good of course with UE5, just a shame that it's 650mb

I do admit I didn't really play the game, and instead watched the video, but the visuals were very cool, albeit kind of nausiating. Still the game looks really nice!

I was able to beat the first level! I tried every combination of growing bigger/smaller (which never seemed to help in any meaningful way?), picking things up, trying to bunny hop, trying to jump off of things I was holding, and could not for the life of me figure out any other level.  The timer, especially in level 1, adds so much pressure when you don't know what you're doing. I really did appreciate just having all the levels available from level select, though, as I was able to at least get a glimpse of what was going on everywhere. Is level 6 anything beyond just walking forward and then falling? Fun atmosphere there (and throughout!)

I also have to admit the sound of the pickup gun was really grating and hard to bear, and while I liked it in general the post processing was a little extreme, creating quite a fisheye lens effect that triggered motion sickness I usually don't get. This all maybe sounds harsh - I really like what I think the idea of the game is, I'm just not sure I ever got to feel like I understood it after quite a bit of time with it. Happy to revisit it if I just missed something obvious about how to play, it seems cool in theory!

Neat, thank you! I definitely didn’t understand that holding space continued to speed you up even while floating with your head up against a ceiling. Was the second level designed to teach you that? It doesn’t appear to be possible without knowing it, and even if you do hold space the whole time there’s barely any time to spare. Because of the insistence on looking at the controls before playing and the palette hop featured in level 1, I just assumed I was missing something with shapeshifting and/or an item interaction.

The drop down apple in level 3 maybe should’ve been something obvious to look for with the whole wall with an arrow on it, but I believe it’s obstructed from view at the start and at that point I had been thoroughly convinced I was missing a mechanic from the previous level. Didn’t even occur to me to look up for an apple to return down with on level 4 at the start since I was then convinced from level 3 I was missing an alternate way to get back down.

Not saying there’s anything objectively wrong here, just explaining my struggle now that I understand what happened :) I do think if the apples were 3d instead of decals and/or had a slightly bigger hitbox that was made visually obvious it would’ve helped me a lot, going back knowing about them and where they were they were still difficult for me to hit reliably.

Understandable, thx for review doe :). I made the game in only 5 days

The live menu was great! Nice work. I was getting dizzy while playing. The controls moved so fast, combined with the post-processing effect. But that was cool. The 90s theme was fun as well!
