It is coming together really nicely, congrats!

I enjoyed the overall aesthetic of the game, and loved the flying LX blocking the ways.

One constructive feedback I may suggest is that the enemies' menu are a little frustrating to click while both the character and enemy is moving. Maybe some hotkeys would fix this issue?

Nice game, I enjoyed it!

I think this could benefit from having hotkeys like pressing q,w, or e for damaging or any other interaction, it gets hectic clicking away to move and go back in range to click to damage

I also liked the story, good job

For the most part I enjoyed it! I liked the story, but I'm kinda confused how we got here. I think a little intro text would help.

Your animations/characters were super cute and I was able to tell the enemy types apart easily. My biggest confusion was with the graduation hats/data disks (im not sure what they were suppose to do)

I don't think I got anything super glitchy, but I did get stuck on corners and walls a little too frequently.

I agree with the other commentor about the infect, as it didnt seem to do anything different than damage.

Lastly, I was confused about my health, wish there was a bar or pips that I could use to tell exactly where i was.

Overall, I had fun!

Good work on the game!

When I gain access to an L1, for example, it might help to have visual feedback, like maybe changing the door color, etc.

Not sure what the difference is between Damage and Infect. Stun works as expected.

The message when I get hit the first time, or for some enemies is also “L1 access granted”. This should be “Damaged” or something like that.

The player and enemy hitboxes were a bit confusing at times.

Nice to discover that there are different strategies. For some levels clearing out the enemies didn’t work well, and instead I had to evade and get to the finish.

The difficulty curve is good to start with. Some of the later stages got a bit repetitive.

Overall this seems like a good start, and could be developed further by adding more diverse mechanics/levels to keep the player engaged.

I'm gonna steal your formatting cause it seems useful.

>What was the most frustrating moment or aspect?

There were lots of things I couldn't really understand, such as what Reset Success / Reset Fail did. Using the mouse to access the various combat controls in addition to movement was also frustrating at times. I see you mentioned touch controls, and I think that this may feel better on a mobile device, but WASD to move on PC would be nice.

>What was your favorite moment or aspect?

Beating two enemies at once through what I felt were clever applications of Stun and Infect (although I'm not actually sure if my applications were clever or not) felt good.

>Was there anything you wanted to do, but couldn't?

I was never able to find anything that looked like a health bar for my character.

>If you could change, add, or remove any 1 thing, what would it be?

More feedback on the Stun and Infect abilities would be nice. Like I mentioned above, I feel like I used them cleverly cause I overcame the challenge, but I was never entirely sure what they were actually doing or how long their effects lasted.

Finally, a recurring bug was that even if I lost a level I would still get the victory screen, but then just restart the level.

Looking forward to giving the polished version a playthrough and seeing what you changed!

Thanks for playing! I also stole that formatting, as it happens :P

Interesting system of interaction.  Lots of actions and enemies and all being handle with simple mouse clicks or touches.

However, the little menus tend to get in the way of eachother.  Also on room 3 or 4 the into text is long enough to push start button off the screen but not long enough to realize you can scroll down.

Not sure if it is just the reality of a jam game that you chose simple graphics, but I actually like them alot.  The walk animation for the main character is simple and effective and looks cute.

Great work, the thrill of rushing to finish the last hack while surrounded by enemies or the feeling of getting a reset just in time to prevent damage stood out to me.

It'd be nice though if there was more explanation that the reset item protects you, since it didn't feel intuitive. And at times, it was difficult to click on overlapping menus.

Also just a small thing, but I liked how the text/symbols on the walls bounced around. It gave the game more energy.

Thank you for playing! The mushrooms definitely need a touch or a tune.

Very fun to play. I like how you have many different types of enemies.

- At one point I was trying to "cheese" it and skip killing the enemies, but then I ran into rooms where I needed to kill all the enemies to progress that is a good touch it makes for more of a challenge.

- I think that maybe the different options like attack, stun, and infect should maybe be keyboard keys. Its kind of hard to control and attack at the same time.

In general amazing job this is very well done the even the simple animations make the game feel fun and exciting.

Lots of levels and mechanics which is great to see. I'm sure sound effects with really bring this game to life.

I think I'd be neat if you could prevent yourself from being controlled through maybe a button mashing event or something similar, but I'm not sure if this would take away from what you're trying to accomplish.

Overall great job. Excited to see it on release :)

Thank you for the feedback!

One of the things I was testing was the mushrooms. What did you think of them?

Submitted(+1)

I thought they were interesting. It was kind of hard to tell what they did initially. From what I understand it is a time based stun. I think if you were to incorporate them more, maybe even making a maze like level with them, it could work. I'd recommend changing the message it says when you touch them to just "Stunned". I think it would inform that player of what that object is and that those are things they shouldn't touch.

Liked the premise, and it's fun to play. The difficulty progression seems a bit weird in some points, but it's ok, the plot is interesting. The messages sometimes appear over the buttons when you're about to click and they don't work correctly, and when you click on an action it disapears for every other enemy also (idk if this is by design, but feels a bit off) Nice entry, hope to see the full game in the end!
