For me the text crawled so much I'm not sure I can stand it.

So I'm debating whether to rate it based on what others have played (who I've watched) or to refrain (probably what I'm going with)

Sorry to hear the text speed was so off-putting. I obviously need to fix that. Thanks for giving it a go!

This was a seriously memorable entry, lol! nice work!

Awesome, I'm glad you like it!

Would definitely subscribe to Harold's Only Pigs. As others have pointed out, an instant text option would be great to see all those options quickly. Fun entry!

Looks like instant text will be a priority feature for the post-jam update. Thanks for the feedback, and I’m glad you enjoyed it, Nowis!

That was a really fun VN entry! Well executed and very forgiving with the choices which is perfect for a jam :)

Thanks, Loch! I’m glad you enjoyed it. 🙂

Overall: Last year I never knew I needed a VN about Harold as a hamster. This year I never knew I needed a sequel. A simply delightful adventure with one of the most unique depictions of Harold yet!

Gameplay: Not much outside of clicking the right choices, but it's hard to fault a VN for being a VN. I do appreciate the option to immediately retry a wrong choice.

Music: Is the music original? There's no music credits and "Everything else" is attributed to you. If so, great job! Really nice collection of tunes.

Story: Never before have I played a Harold Jam game where the goal is to back that ass up.

Graphics: Even if it's mostly recycled from Piggr, the hand-drawn hamsters are a delight.

Comedy: Hamster Harold is adorable and I liked the edging joke.

First of all…

Harold is a guinea pig.

Second of all…

Yes, all the music was composed by me in one frantic day*. 😁 Hooray for pro-grade tools that streamline the process!

As for the art, I got to the final week of the dev period and was facing the massive task of creating over 90 pictures, so I had to ditch my dreams of upgrading the character art and instead copy-pasta’d and recolored my way to victory.

Thanks for playing our entry, and I’m happy you enjoyed it so much!

* Except for Hamcilla’s theme, which was composed previously for an upcoming update to Piggr.

And here I was puffing up my chest for doing my soundtrack in five! That's crazy, I would have never guessed you did it that quickly. Also I can't believe I really just called him a hamster like that. You have the legal right to execute me.

I kept trying to choose all the wrong choices and actually picked all right choices.

Very blursed. Thanks KV but now I need to teach myself japanese so I can forget what I read :derp:
Jokes aside, really cute, really brief, had fun, and that's what we look for in Harold Jam 🎵

Thanks, Nate! I’m glad you had a good time. 😃

Overall: It felt cute and naughty. I liked it more than I morally ought to have.
Gameplay: I enjoyed the simple choices and the retries. It felt like you could explore everything without getting boxed into a corner. Simple and effective.
Music: Mood appropriate and responsive to the situations. It was good.
Story: Well I certainly enjoyed it. It's silly and fun but also has a solid beginning and optional, but satisfactory set of endings.
Graphics: Yes. Yes all day long. More of that. I want a t-shirt.
Comedy: It's got that endearing, silly charm that isn't so much a laugh, but a soft chuckle and a nod kind of feel.
I'm glad in the end I could chose the second option. I've always wanted to live in a castle!

With a review that glowing I may just have to start a “Harold the Guinea Pig” merchandise line! 😁

I’m glad you enjoyed the story so much. Thanks for playing and leaving feedback, TT!

So great to see Harold able to embrace ethical polyamory! I have been waiting for this for so long. There was also an army of crocodiles which made me laugh. I believe I explored every single choice! My favorite is the one where Harold eats pea flakes and falls asleep. I was struggling with text speed and missed a beginning scene but I found the speed option and increased it to 10, which fixed all problems. Instant text would have been even Harold-er. Great sequel!

Developer

Glad to see you enjoyed this story so thoroughly! I agree, instant text would be even better and was on my wishlist of things to implement, but I couldn’t figure out how to make it coexist with the typewriter text effect before the deadline. Maybe something I’ll implement later.

Thanks for playing and leaving feedback, Human!

My favourite game just like from last year. Well done kv and piggr

Developer

Awesome! I’m glad you enjoyed this one, too!

A pleasant little title! The text was VEEEEERY slow, even at its highest levels, but I powered through and got to enjoy the absurdity of riding my army of crocodiles and witnessing Therese propose a coup and a throuple. It was a very cute title, and certainly a little surreal!

Developer(+1)

I’m going to have to figure out why that typewriter text effect is so slow for some people since you’re not the only one to complain about that. Also on my future objectives is an option that makes the text appear instantly.

Thanks for powering through that annoyance, and I’m glad you ultimately enjoyed it!

Very cute and funny entry! XD I love the choose your own adventure style and deciding the fate of poor little guinea pig Harold. The music was funky, and the guinea pig party members were so fun to see. Also, that reveal at the end was golden. xD Overall, very funny and entertaining entry with cute guinea pig arts! Great job! <3
