So we initially were gonna make this game historically accurate - a lotta interesting stuff happened in train robberies in the US. But we ended up getting carried away with explosives and a gorilla...

Love the gameplay
Brilliant, with the stock footage xD Really satisfying shooting mechanics as well.
This is a fun and polished game. The billboard cowboys are not very scary but I totally understand that corners have to be cut given the time constraint. Reminds me a lot of older arcade games such as Sega's House of the Dead.
Played for 20 minutes, didnt't get to the end :c
This is really good. 'Light gun' shooter games can get boring for me real fast but the fact that you move the player around the train avoids this. I'd like be able to stop reloading half way to take out the next enemies and being able to take cover while reloading would be good.
Great variety in the attackers - sticks of TNT etc.
Some train sounds would greatly enhance the atmosphere.
I didn't make it to the front of the train ...... yet ;).
Fun to play and interesting mechanics
Gameplay is so addictive. I enjoyed a lot.
The best part is a proper timing of when to reload between enemies. I found it challenging but very fair.
Graphics is nice. Despite enemies being photos I didn't really care and was feel nice shooting bad guys.
Super fun ! I like the camera movements and HATE these stock images ! xD Good work really !
Super fun game!
I very enjoyed the game! this is so simple and fun.
I'm all for shooting down evil Stock JPEGs, but the reload system is really unique. Rather than simply pressing R, the unique reload system feels like how you reload a revolver in real life and requires fast hands. Playing this using laptop's trackpad further adds more challenge. Great game. Very enjoyable and replayability value is amazing! Amazing job.
Good game! The 3d world is impressive right from the beginning - where most Jam games fail when they attempt to go 3d, you succeed. Well done!
Damn, I've never felt such hate towards a stock photo before. 😂 It was very difficult to stop playing, I think I tried like 30 times, I didn't beat the gorilla though, but I felt I was very close. I think the reason I stopped trying eventually was the fact that the gorilla was a bit unfair when it stood on the nearest two columns - often, the gorilla would throw a barrel off screen, and I wouldn't even know a barrel was thrown until the second it landed on me, at which point there was not possible to land three hits on it. That took me down the majority of times I managed to get all the way to the gorilla.
Other than that, it was a really fun game! I said "okay, one last time now" for like 20 mins. ;P
Yeah, baby!
Ayyyyyyyyyyy
Heya - thanks for the in depth reply! I'm glad you liked the game.
And thanks for the feedback on the TNT throwing stuff. I might have to take a look at the camera angles or the TNT arcs to make it a little bit more fair.
Definitely a fitting title for this game lol. Loved the smooth 3D, sound effects and overall gameplay, didn't expect to find a on-rails shooter on here! I struggled to find historical accuracy in it (besides, well, cowboys) but had a lot of fun with it. Will try to get past the dynamite part eventually lol.
Well done! :)
Thanks for the feedback! We were originally shooting for a more historical game. But - we ended up orienting ourselves towards a fun goofy non-historical cowboy shooter instead.
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Does not run for me unfortunately.
Unable to parse Build/WebGL.framework.js.gz! This can happen if build compression was enabled but web server hosting the content was misconfigured to not serve the file with HTTP Response Header “Content-Encoding: gzip” present. Check browser Console and Devtools Network tab to debug.
That can happen due to the type of compression in the publishing setting I suggest disabling it tho if the game is to big might get a bit on the heavy side. Or you could try a different type of compression. This is has happened to me on the 2020 Unity versions of you have a backup you could also try changing the version if that is your caso tho the compression method has worked for me. Good luck!
Hey thanks for the info. I'll have to take a look at the compression settings for WebGL build to see if I can fix it.
