Cute Small Game! I love the cute totorial drawed by hand and how you add new mechanics for every new level, although still too simple given how common this genre is. Maybe need to consider add some new mechanics. I also enjoyed the subtle changes in the background music when Gura transforms into the red shark, and the dynamic interaction of larger fish eating smaller ones adds a nice layer of realism. There are some improvement I noticed. The fish sometimes shake and flip left and right at the edges of the screen. I understand you might want to prevent them from swimming off-screen, but this could be handled in a better way. For example, you could create a slightly larger play area beyond the visible camera screen, allowing fish to temporarily move out of view and then coming back, while still preventing them swimming out of the screen.

Really fun game. Felt like a throwback to that one fish game I used to play as a kid that started this whole genre. I liked the mechanic of—apart from dodging fish who can eat you—having to dodge the medium sized fish and avoid making them chomp your tail. It's such simple gameplay and easily repeatable and scale-able levels, which makes it such a good idea for a jam game. An idea for next time is you could have Holomem themed fish instead of just regular sea creatures. Overall, very nice, great success! ππΌπππΌ
Cute art! In line with the guwa theme. Lovely tutorial pictures.
I love the transformation into Gawr! The hunter becomes the hunted! Hahaha!
And after you beat the game you included an endless mode for endless fun. Awesome!
Improvement suggestion:
- Replace the default looking UI buttons with clickable images. That will add some polish to the visual presentation of the game. owo
The art and the overall ambience make this game really relaxing to play. And then you turn into red Gura and then it gets hype for a couple of seconds lol. I had a lot of fun playing this! Great work!
Very fun! The art, music, sound effects, and menus are all very charming.
It's big fish little fish! Except without the part where you get bigger. So I guess this is just "fish." It's cute. Everything is in uwu speak and I can't decide if that's a point for or against you.
It looks nice, it's feature complete, it even has an endless mode. Definitely a win in a game jam.
However... It is possibly the most mind numbing creation in existence. Or at least in my downloads folder. I also can't decide if that is a point for or against you.
Cwute Guwa Gwame. I really liked the art style and the spelling of the words. I also liked how you had levels to continuously teach the player over time the mechanics. The endless mode is really nice too.
This is a fun little game. I liked it. Sometimes I died when I tried to eat a smaller fish which I don't think was supposed to happen but the stages are short enough where that's fine. Big fan of red mode though. Might be fun if red mode also made it so you couldn't eat the small fish anymore, but that might make it too weak. Cool stuff!
Very cute and simple game! I like how Gura is incorporated into the text and how the big fishes can eat each other.
Vewwy cyute wittle gayem. Gameplay is very reminiscent to feeding frenzy, I love that you brought the NPC fishes eating other fishes from that game as well.
Short and sweet. Enjoyed my time with this. Thanks!
