Nice platformer my only issue is that it didnt really fit the theme but it is a good concept

Developer

I mean my theme implementation was pretty weak but you had 3 batteries to collect, 2 rocket boosters, and 1 solar panel thing. The whole game is a very small collectathon thing so that's how I chucked the theme in.

Cool platformer, just doesnt fit the theme that well in my opinion. Make sure to check out my game as well!

Hey! Pretty fun!

Fun little game. Gameplay's pretty simple but it does the job, nice little song, cute graphics, decent polish. I feel like some of those checkpoints are traps since you can just death warp back if you don't touch them, especially the one in the bottom right. I appreciate the go back to ship prompt at the end because I had lost count of the parts. Maybe a counter as we're playing? Also, maybe let the player know in the controls section that they can double jump. I was a little stuck before I realized that. Altogether, not bad.

Developer

I’m glad you enjoyed it!

The sound effects and music are great. The game and art are kind of boring. Also the theme implementation isn t really that good. Overall, decent game.

I finished the game! Nice little platformer :) it would be nice to see how many parts I still need. Good job!

Developer

Thanks for playing!

Really cool game, i loved visuals! It was confusing with jump controls at the beginning, but i handled it. Also some check point looks like a traps, because they made much worse spawn position, than previous one)

Developer(+1)

Yeah I think it's really just that one at the bottom right I need to remove. I think there was going to be more level and then I forgot about that checkpoint being there until it was too late. Same with the one at the very top but that doesn't really make the game that much harder really.

The game art is cute ! I love the main characther but I did get stuck at some places lol I feel it was a bit hard to control the jump well

Developer

I’m glad you liked the character design! Quite a few people seem to have some minor issues with that so I’ll probably tweak some things a bit after the jam is over :)

Wow such a cute little star! I had fun playing this game, although the controls were a little bit slippery

amazing game!

I cannot emphasize enough how much I love Cosmo The Star! The cutest of this jam! Great and solid gameplay mechanics, it feels so much fun to do platforming I wished there was more!

Submitted

The character is so frickin cute, it's just an overload. The game was nice to play, and felt quite polished. Nice!

Cosmo is adorable and the electric bolt animation looked cool but the gameplay could use a bit fine tuning, especially for jumping because the section at the bottom right section of the level was frustrating to get out of but otherwise controlled fine, I wish there was actual music to listen to and no that jingle you get when clearing the game does not count even if it is a good jingle, besides the electric bolt the overall artstyle looks a bit wonky, how does the level's tileset not have any outlines when everything else does? (Not to mention the thickness outline on Cosmo seems a bit off) But despite the downsides this was not the worst submission from this jam at all

Developer

that’s very odd considering there is music. Every person that has played/commented before has alluded to having music so I would assume that there’s something wrong on your end. I wonder if it would work if you tried it again?

Submitted

I understand now why I wasn't able to hear the music, on the html build of the game the music does not play at all! The downloaded version (windows version I have no clue about mac) does play the music! Honestly it ain't that bad of a song

Developer

Very interesting. I wonder if there’s something different about your browser or it’s settings. The music plays fine on Edge and Google at least.

Submitted

That may possibly be why, I use Opera GX

Developer

That’s interesting, I don’t know much about Opera so take this with a grain of salt but I’m pretty sure they use a google base for technical. So if that’s why it’s not working that’s quite odd. Though I’m glad you seemed to enjoy the game despite technical difficulties on your end! :)

Cute character that feels good to control and nice animations. Nice game :D

Cosmo is very adorable, and I do love the squash and stretch as they jump. There was a bug with the music at the end overlapping, but otherwise very good.

Nice Game! Great art love the gameplay

Fun game! The movement animation felt good, and the game had a cozy feel to it. Great job! (And I always love seeing someone make a game using Gdevlop in a jam!)

Developer

Gdevelop is a lovely engine. I quite enjoy using it :)

Submitted

Cool art style . jumping between platforms is  bit hard.

Submitted

Quite like the game.

Some checkpoints were a little unecessary.

Nice graphics, good main character.

I also used gdevelop for the game! It was fun to play but when I was down right there was a really hard jump to go up again and I couldnt do it : (
