This is estetically sooo coool..
Unfortunally the controls fried my brain too x)
perhaps if left was always left, right always right and same for up and down,
but when reaching a corner you wouldn't be able to go in that direction could have solved it.
other than that,
its phenomenal what you managed to achieve in the given time we had :D
I really like this in principal - and it looks and sounds really good! My only problem is I just cannot wrap my head around the controls. Or rather, I understand them, but my hands can’t do it 😭
I love the visuals, and the music is great!! The controls are a tad confusing, but it's fun to jam out to the beat anyways!
Wooah, this is certainly one of the most visually appealing entries in the jam!! I loved the concept although it was a bit difficult to follow with the control scheme changing every move - I'm not quite sure what a more intuitive method would be due to the irregular pattern of the playing space, but the tutorial was a great introduction to the game concept nevertheless! You don't need me or anyone else to tell you that the music, aesthetics, and overall level of polish are ABSOLUTELY bangin', and you pulled off the disco vibes especially well!! This definitely has a lot of potential for future updates, such as new level maps, colour themes/palettes, and maybe even enemies that follow certain movement patterns, such as going around the circumference map or appearing in checkerboard patterns. This could also be a cool way to link the movement patterns with the rhythm, but as it stands, I already love this game so much! Amazing work for such a small time frame, and including Ico in the game name? Best game name 👏
Thank you so much!
pretty cool, and very polished visuals! the game was a bit confusing but very cool and fun to play :)
Thanks!
I found it pretty hard to let my brain connect the movement directions with the colors. It would probably take some time to make that connection automatically. The music is fire and I loved the visuals. Very polished for such a short jam.
Thank you!
Good polish, and interesting game. Super juicy and fun. My only complaint would be that it was hard to see when I had to move to avoid the Killer Shapes spawning on me.
Great game, and I love the music and moving on beat, but the movement system was really hard to get used to and kept throwing me off
Thank you!
I really suck at this lol. But I still had fun with it. Love the presentation; the game looks amazing and the music is a bop.
I just wish that I could survive longer than 20 seconds
Thank you!
Really great idea and very polished for the amount of time. Moving was really counter intuitive, I think using your own system is fun just needs a bit more polish
Thank you! Moving to color will mirror the position of the other colors. It isn't obvious, so you should try to play Tutorial level. If you have some proposals for changing the system, I'm all ears :)
I think movement can be hard but evidently if you play you get better so not the biggest deal, overall this is really cool..
i dont understand the correlation between moving and where you actually get, i can press W and move to the left one time and move up the other
W,A,D move to a certain color
so if D goes to blue, no matter where blue is you'll go there.
it's in the tutorial but even then it is hard to follow even if you do know so, yeah.
I_Will_Probably_Die?, Yes, you are totally right. Moving to color will mirror the position of the other colors. It is kinda not intuitive, but you can get used to it. If you have some proposals for changing the system, I'm all ears :)
Its a bit hard but all in all Well Done! I enjoyed it!
Thank you!
