I particularly liked the ongoing synth in the first track, really cool ambiance!

'a far reach to say this fits the theme' absolute legend. the groove more than makes up for any thematic correlation i thought i wanted, because every single track works so well in their respective styles. although not 'unique' in genre (i've probably heard some variation of these genres before), doing three takes on the same idea is an interesting concept already and i can't bring myself to dock too many points from your creativity score anyways (stank face). it's just so well executed!

very happy i got to listen to this one. 100% biased in my ratings. keep up the vibes jarrod :DDD

Very chill tracks. Edge of memory sounds extremely familiar to me, like I knew what notes were next but it's really driving me crazy trying to figure out what it's reminding me of.

Great work.

Someone in the Discord mentioned Chrono Trigger, and the progression in the B part (or something very similar) shows up a lot in that OST when I think about it. Makes sense that it would be burned into my brain.

Edge of memory is a hell of track man! Love it, that bassline is just fingerlicking good!

I honestly felt The long dark to be a bit misplaced, but its a good track in itself :)

Mixing was on point for the most part, and being so different one from the other thats something to be happy for, just a lil detail, some sounds were a bit to piercy on the ear.

Take care :)

I do love the contrast between all tracks, the mixing and variety is amazing!

All the tracks are great, but really loved the vibes on Edge of Memory.

Good work on these!

Three tracks tied together by a single motif, very well done.  You keep enough variation in the harmonic structure and arrangement to make each track compelling and interesting.  "Break Through" really shows your ability to create a chord progression that takes us on a journey.  I feel like some of the higher-register instruments can be shrill, piercing and a little jarring in places, and could be toned down a bit.  They'd shine through at a lower volume just fine.  The constant synth drone in "The Long Dark" bothered me at first but after repeated listens I really like it, it's a great source of tension.

thank you!

noted on the treble - mixing is definitely the aspect of production I know the least about, and balancing the lead voices on that track was a struggle. the EQ did get a li'l bit spiky toward the end. I also got kind of fixated on making it dense because a lot of what I do feels pretty sparse, and started messing around with forces I only vaguely understand (i.e. throwing a giant multiband compressor on the master and using it as a "make it bigger" knob) and your ears might have paid the price for my hubris

Three really solid tracks, nice work.

Its cool to see that you maintained the same melodic theme between all three, giving them a sense of connection despite being in somewhat different styles. cool entry
