Description
With theme of the jam being "The Far Reaches", the idea for the piece was to make a piece that would close the gap between eastern and western music.

Westarn harmonic movements on nylon guitar meet chinese and japanese instrumentary, in form of koto and guqin, doing pentatonic runs.
Track was made to sound etheric and slightly exotic/uncanny from both eastern and western point of view, being the far reach for both.

Middle loop can be prolonged by turning on/off layers of guqin and koto runs, even choosing them randomly if need be.

It connects seamlessly to the thematic part in the beginning and end.

i LOVEEE pitch bends. they give such a beautiful bluesy quality that's used so wonderfully in this piece in combination with eastern instrumentation

I like the pitch bends and also like the blending of both instruments!

The pitch bends were a really nice flourish. I also liked the motiff established at the start and repeated towards the end. Good job.

You created something so simple with such movement and finesse, it's a really interesting piece! A new for the favorites, great take on the paiting.

Take care! :)

Oo, this one is interesting.

Loving the Guqin... It's one of my favorite instruments. I plan to buy one, as well as make an instrument that is like a fusion of  a lyre, Oud, and Guqin, and about as big as all three combined.

This track makes me think of music you'd see in a movie from Hong Kong. Heh, reminds me just a hair of Kung Fu Hustle. That style of movie does a lot of mixing of eastern and western music.

How beautiful. Great work and I really liked your idea in the correlation with the theme. You don't know how much I liked your composition, the middle section is sublime.

Beautiful submission. Love the bends and slides. Nothing feels overpowering.

The bends, dynamics and tenderness of the koto and guqin are breathtaking.  The transients on these instruments are really loud and a bit jarring to my ears, but don't detract from their beauty.  I'd like to hear you break out of the minor key more often, but it does set a sombre and introspective mood.  This is amazing work.  You really pull so much life out of each instrument that even such a sparse arrangement sounds full and engaging.

Really great submission, wish there were some more tracks but what you have is well composed and well mixed.
