Short but it was worth it. Finding notes was fun.
Great game! I like the path mechanic and the lighting dithering effect
The game is simple, but the concept and the special feature do the work. I also like the idea of the various mazes that are looped throught the screen. I had a little time to play it and I had fun. Really a nice work!
Thank you!
I played it for a bit now, and I discovered a bug (I think it is at least): where if you can't go in a direction but still make the move the enemy will start to move.
So I kinda glitch them to let them go away from me anytime I was in danger
Hm, I had noticed that, but didn't see how it could be exploited. Thanks for the information!
Wow, what a fantastic game! Such a lovely implementation of theme and object, it was weaved right into the gameplay. Of course, the aesthetics and art surrounding the gameplay were phenomenal. There was a lot of love put into not only making this a "game", but making it an experience and a story. Looking at the entrants here, you're a solo dev. Wow, wow, wow!
The one thing I would have wished for was more threats in the game. I'm honestly not sure whether those red critters are actually deadly or not. They may or may not have been attracted to my light, I couldn't tell ya. If they actually were enemies, I'd love to see them be more aggressive. If they weren't enemies, they should be x) But still, fantastic entry. My favorite so far!
Awesome, thank you! I agree regarding the enemies being kinda... meh haha
I blame running out of time. I considered having more aggressive enemies, but I didn't want to risk the game ending up too difficult due to poor balancing. Well, who knows, maybe someday I'll make a post-jam version. Having at least 10 levels would be enough I think.
Also, thanks for the compliment regarding the solo dev 🙂 it's a lot of work sometimes, but I find it very rewarding at the same time!
Great artstyle and audio! The gameplay was interesting, but once I realised the paths were randomized I just started going back and forth to get the path I wanted. I didn't much care for the notes, but the ending was cool
Hi, thank you!
That strategy seems to be really popular hahaha
Also, other people didn't care for the notes as well. I wonder if I should've just scattered info on the gameplay...
Very cool game. Great look, and the gameplay was super fun. Puzzle-y, but still fast paced.
I think someone already said, but I didn't read the notes either. They were too long and the font wasn't super inviting so I skimmed the first one and skipped all the rest.
I'll also add that onceI realized the tiles were randomized, it did make me just go back and forth a bit until I got the path I liked. And on my second play through, on the first level I got a perfectly straight path to the exit. So it was a little weird and short level.
Super cool mood and feel though. I can definitely see this being expanded on into a full multi-level game.
Great work.

Awesome, thank you Dave!
I see that a lot of people did those two things as well. I'm still thinking on how to "solve" those problems. Maybe a more interesting enemy would solve the former. Still in the dark about the second one though...
Anyway, thanks again! Glad you enjoyed it overall.
Well put together game. Here are my notes from playing:
Has the potential to really be expanded.
Thanks! Right now I don't know if I'll be updating this game, but if I do, your to-the-point feedback will surely help a lot.
I really like the design of this game, wish it was longer!
Very polished! The art style is amazing! The game reminds me of a board game I used to play as a child
Thank you! Funny that you mention that, I used a board game called "The Night Cage" for inspiration, but it released in 2019 IIRC. Maybe they used the game you played when younger as inspiration, who knows!
This is awesome! Great job!
looks great
really good art direction

Wow ! This is amazing !
