Have you played Alien on NES? I had Vietnamese flashbacks about exactly this after a couple of minutes.
Unusual, very atmospheric, with suspense. And it is difficult for people like me - those who do not know how to memorize sequences well at the level.
Perhaps more people will appreciate the game, if somehow simplify the process for them - show part of the level map open in previous attempts or mark previously checked sockets as "wrong". It can periodically give more light for a short time or allow you to escape from the enemy in certain ways.
Interesting idea, I like the idea of looking for the plug socket. It was a little too dark, but work to build suspense.
I couldn't get the monsters to be scared though, I'm not sure if its a bug or I'm doing it wrong.
In any case, it was a nice game. Great job!
The objective of the game was easy enough to understand. The sounds fit quite well with the atmosphere. I think the level was too dark and that makes it hard to traverse. Also, I'm not really sure about this, but I think the enemy does not lose aggro, so I think you should make them do. Some more animation of you actually putting in the plug would've also been nice, to give it a more interactable feel.
Good job!
way to make me soil my pants :(, jokes aside it was a very intense game audio was applied perfectly and made great suspense. I cant wait to see more :)
good job!
Game was straight forward enough - traverse a maze to reach the socket end goal. The world was too dark, and without any visual cues to distinguish different paths, it was easy to be lost and turned around. Intentional game design? Just left the experience not that fun.
Art itself that I could see looked good and sounds were suitably spooky. Perhaps some flashing lights (like a broken fluoroscent tube) would still suit the mood but provide a bit more light.
A bit weaks on a connection to the theme 'connection'. Yes, you are a plug - but so what? Could have been a mouse looking for cheese and it's the same game. If the player did something with the idea of being a plug, that would be better.
I captured my first 5 min of play to help you better understand what a new player thinks getting into the game:
Thank you so much ,That helps ALOT!
