Really Enjoyed it! Very Interesting Idea. Creepy Atmosphere!

Interesting concept!

The game is a bit too dark, I had to constantly hug a wall to see where I was going: maybe you could add a light on the character that uses power and attracts the spiderbots when used.

What an experience! A horror game was one of the last games I thought I'd be playing when going through these Jam entries, yet here we are. Now let me start by saying this, I'm not a big horror game fan. This is because I easily get scared and have a hard time to pull through, but I did my best while playing this game!

From the start the atmosphere was extremely eerie and I was creeped out before realizing I was being chased by those spider bots. So let me tell you, when I heard the first one run down on me and jump scare me... I may have woken up the entire house lmfaoooo.

The movement and everything feels good, but I wish there was a way to sprint or somehow get away from the spider bots. Cause as far as I noticed, once they were on my ass that was it.

The actual concept of the game is super dope as well! We've seen quite a few submissions in this Jam where one must plug a plug into a socket, but most of them are 2D platformers or puzzle games, so this was a VERY welcome twist (despite decreasing my life expectency by at least 10 years)!

Good job!

Thank you! , i will work on these after the jam

Very eerie atmosphere. I was able to beat the first level a few times though that's as far as I've gotten. I wasn't sure exactly how the "scaring" mechanic worked cause LBM never did anything to the enemy so whenever the spotted me it was basically just waiting for game over (they would just gel close and it was game over), more explanation on that would have been nice since that definitely seems like a key mechanic to properly progress through the game. Also for a game like this, it would be interesting to be able to bait the enemies away somehow (maybe the recharge stations could also function as bait, like the player can maybe click on them and they make a static noise that the monsters can hear and go towards it ((as long as they are not in pursuit of the player))). I also think that here needs to be a way for a player to at least tell there is a monster coming in his direction when nearing a corner so player has a chance to react (perhaps have the monsters emit a light far in the front of them so the player could see and react in time (either by moving away or baiting them away as mentioned previously). Lots of potential here good work!

Thank you so much for the comment i will add those to the game after the jam is over

But for the scaring mechanic when the enemy comes too close you can do that

Hoo boy, I had a hard time getting through this one. For most games, that's an insult, but I mean it as a compliment in this case, haha. It's really straightforward and simple, but it immediately got me immersed and in the zone. I did NOT want to explore because I was really creeped out.

I couldn't figure out how to outrun the robot. Once it noticed me, it was always moving faster than I was, and as a result, there was nothing I could do except try in vain to run away. I don't know if there's a way to sprint, I tried Shift at least, but it didn't work.

Excellent work!

Thanks for your feedback!

For the robot when he got too close you should scare him by pressing LMB

I love horror games and I loved this one <3! I just don't understand why the robot teleports to me but it scares me so that's good ^^'.

An interesting concept. Enjoyed wandering around in the absolute darkness, atmosphere is spooky. Well done!

Hey there! I really like the looks and concept of your game!

I didn't get to go very far since my old laptop struggles to process games made on unreal but hey, it opened and I was even able to explore and play through the beginning before it froze, Yay!   ≧◡≦

I'm sorry was not able to play through your entire game  right now (T_T)

I'll see if one of my friends with decent computers are free later so we can dl it and I can finish playing it together with them :D

Regardless of that just know that even without the full experience I could already tell that you put a lot of effort in this game, I mean -you made a game so clean it actually loaded and worked for a couple of minutes in an outdated laptop! That's really impressive (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧

So congratulations \(^▽^)/  Keep up the good work ^-^

Really cool ! Love the whole ambiance of the game. The darkness is really oppressing and make you feel lost as soon as you took a few turns. The sound design match the whole setup neatly and help set the mood.

few feedbacks:

  • Not sure I understood how i was supposed to scare the monsters. clicking didn't seem to work for me at least.
  • There seem to be very few wires. which can be frustrating if you have to walk around a lot to recharge.
  • little bug report: the game crashed when I got corned by 2 monsters at the same time.
  • The UI could use some polishing to match the visual style of the game

All in all. A really good game. great work :)

So the sound and maze design was quite good. The enemies moved and sounded convincing, and it was cool you could see the red light from a distance. Controls were easy. Felt a bit like piloting a mech with the two arms (plug pins) so I kept trying to click and shoot at the mobs. If I could sum this experience up in a word, that word would be "dark".

Damn that is one scary journey to go switch on the light!

Ah is your game made with UE5? If so then that's why I can't play it on Linux since the compatibility tools to run Windows games are not updated yet.

As a result I have jumping artifacts and I can't see anything :/

I just wanted to let you know that. Don't worry I won't rate since it wouldn't be very fair! ^^

Developer(+1)

Ah... Sorry to hear that but the game was made with ue4

Good atmosphere, the level design is a bit repetitive and a bit too dark. Hard to find out where to go.

Cool sounds effect for the door opening and I really like the materials you used for the walls The reflective settings reminded me of the Alien movies. Good horror sci-fi atmo.

You did well with the atmosphere, notably the sound and graphics worked well together and I liked the audio you had for the spiders walking on metal (perhaps it would have been spookier if their footsteps echoed through the halls).
I'm not sure the horror tone/atmosphere you were creating made sense given you play as a plug looking for it's socket, seems like a tonal mismatch there.

A solid entry.

A little too dark, as many people point out, but I liked how you implemented a horror-type game with the eery music/sound effects. Very cool concept!

A little too dark for me, but I do enjoy the great atmosphere with all the sfx. Somehow it feels scary.

I liked the concept of this game. I think the idea is interesting. The atmosphere was nice with the exception of the lighting in the rooms, it could have been a little brighter.

Good job and good luck with the jam!
