Developer

Thank you for playing

Very cute art style.

thank you for playing : )

I dont know why but this game is really lagging on my computer.Maybe you should work on optimization.

Developer

thank you for playing, I wanted do load the level in chunks to make it faster but ran out of time.

The art concept is really unique, as well as with the way the jump works (which was done well)! The movement was a bit clunky as I could latch onto the side of platforms and jump again, sometimes I would jump and land half through a platform.

Developer

thank you for the feed back, I wanted to ask someone if it's ok to update the game after subbitting?

(+1)

You can only update the game once the Game Jam is finished, so when the current voting period is over. If the update is just instructional like in the description you probably need to contact a moderator in the discord.

Developer(+1)

thanks for the info : )

I really like the story telling idea at the beggining of the game. The light effets are nice but its a bit lagging in the browser. Nice job!

we both made the main weapon a mace lol

😂😂Yeah

It took a little bit to figure out how the jumping and combat worked, but once I figured it out it's very fun. It isn't mechanically deep by any means but for what it is it's a fun and silly experience. The mouse swinging combat is also so much more satisfying than if you had just made it a click to attack type of system. One issue I did run into was that the audio for enemy death always seemed to be delayed.

Developer

Thank you for playing, sorry about the sounds, I rushed it.

Submitted(+1)

Swinging my mouse like a madman was a surprisingly fun mechanic! Thank god I was able to save my beautiful robo gf!!

Developer

Thank you for playing, I'm glad you liked it : )

Nice job completing and submitting a game! Impressive!

Developer

thank you for playing, did you like the combat? It's unconventional

Submitted(+1)

The game was confusing at first in regards to what I was meant to be doing, none the less I enjoyed bonking robot warriors and wizards alike.

Developer

satisfying isn't it?

Submitted(+1)

Super strange game. Robots in a medieval castle with disco lights and sort of primal/tribal music. Kind of amazing and cool how strange it is. Also, I had to check the comments to figure out to use the mouse to attack, but I agree it's a fun mechanic! I also liked the 2D turning effect.

Developer(+1)

LOL Thank you very much : )

Funky platformer. An unusual way of fighting enemies by moving your mouse around makes it unique and engaging.

Developer

Thank you for playing, it's my first time making a platformer, I should have made more research on them.

Submitted(+2)

Posted a play of your game.

Grats on submitting!!

Developer

Thank you for playing and posting video.

Very cool game !

The visuals with the lighting looks gorgeous !

Swinging my weapon like a crazy robot was a fun way to fight ^^

Thanks a lot for putting checkpoints, It's often overlooked in jams and it make a real difference on finishing a game :)

Tiny feedbacks :

  • The death screen looked a bit odd & out of place compared to the art style you chose.
  • The energy bar was very small & hard to read. (might be due to the resolution of my screen, maybe scale your canvas to screen size ?)
  • The jump felt a bit floaty for a platformer. You could increase gravity on your player rigidbody so the going down will be a bit faster.

Appart from that, really fun and well made. Good work :)

Thank you for playing and feedback, I may fix the issues after the jam ends, idk if you can edit the game while the jam is running, is it ok?

Submitted(+1)

A fun game for sure. Would be better if the UI and menus are in place but I assume you didn't have time for it.

Developer

yes, you are right, Thanks for playing : )

Submitted(+1)

Really nice game! I kinda lost myself in it and was sad when it was over. Somehow I really enjoyed the sound it made when you hit the enemies. Good job with this game! =D

Developer

Thank you very much, I think it is because it is similar to doom in the run and gun dramaticly one hit kill Games, sorry that I only managed to make 3 levels.

Submitted(+1)

Right on for getting a game done!

Developer

thank you, it's not perfect, far from it, but do you mean that many people submit without finishing the gameplay part?

Submitted(+1)

Oh mine is far from perfect too. I just mean congrats on getting it done. That alone is a tough feat. So be happy about that :D.

Submitted(+1)

Also, you might want to add in the controls if there is a way to attack. I didn't know how to do that, if it's not an automatic thing that I was missing...

Developer

your weapon points at your mouse, the game is checking how fast your weapon is going, if its fast enough you will kill the enemies by swingings fast at them, which usualy means raising you mouse up and down FAST.

Submitted(+1)

Ahhh. I didn't know that. I didn't see it written anywhere. I haven't played any games that do that kind of control scheme. Sorry.

Developer

understandable, I made it like that because it it gives a larger feeling of control.

Submitted(+1)

Nice game. I like how you use the mouse to swing your weapon around. Cool lighting effects too

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing <3 , I used Unity Render Pipeline for the lighting.

Submitted(+1)

Those swinging lights were a nice touch

Developer (1 edit)

;-)   ,I wanted to have more lights but turns out they are preformance heavy on a broser, who knew lol

Submitted

That was my concern too, I decided not to use any lights in mine. Your game ran really well though for me and I had no performance issues with it. Well done!

Developer(+1)

it has to do with that I reduced the number of light sources by 2 thirds and lowered the resolution to 800x600
