Cute game! I included it in my Love Jam compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)

ALLAMAZING SPORTS! Such a fun aesthetic

We had some troubles with gauging where to hit/aim in the beginning, but eventually grew to become masters of head-butting in this intense tourney.

Thank you for the kind words and wonderful puns! It's so good to hear you had fun with our game!

Fantastic art, great sounds (music is loud though), and fun gameplay. Will be trying this with another player soon.

Developer

Thank you! I'm so glad you liked it enough to want to play with an opponent! :D

The Pixel Art is great, especially on the title screen.

I found the game itself rather hard, even without using the vertical direction, but maybe that was just because I didn't have a second player to test it with.

Edit: Oh, there was an odd glitch and my comment got posted trice. I deleted the two copies.

Fun game!

But I feel like there isn't really a point in moving up and down? Maybe I am missing something.

Music is a bit too load, sounds are great.

Developer(+1)

Thanks!

Moving up and down let you add a little effect to the ball so it changes its trajectory vertically. It's a lot harder to see if you're playing alone ^^'

I guess I'll have to play it again vs someone else. My left hand really was no match for my right...

I now played it with some friends and now I see that moving up and down does make a difference!

I wish there was some feedback for what I did wrong when I missed the ball, I lost everytime must be the games fault!

Just kidding of course, really enjoyed the game :)

Quite the polished jam game! I'll subtract a couple of points for using assets made by someone else / not during the jam.
Very fun gameplay, and nice graphics and great mood!

If you've ever played those old DOS volleyball games then you will be familiar with this type of game. The pixel art is really nice, and you see a target as to where the ball will land, so it never feels unfair. If it had a "challenge PC mode" (singleplayer) I could see myself playing this a lot more in the future. And I mean, come on, they're llamas. What's not to love.

Thanks for the kind words. It's been a while I wanted to do AI on Love, now it's a good opportunity to do it.
