Did you work in a team?
No, alone

Was the resolution a challenge?
Yes. I like expressive characters but there is just so much you can do on this scale.

What did you learn?
TOO MUCH - BRAIN HURTS -!

Mouse input, Animations, Dialogue System, Camera2D and so much more... I knew basically nothing about Godot before this other than tile maps and some basic GDScripting.

The art is FANTASTIC on this one!! It looks really good, I'm super surprised I haven't seen this till now.

The tamagotchi deletion made me laugh :)
The sound effects were fitting for the game and also sounded really good, great job, what a cute game!

What a cute game, and the writing is really great. Very ambitious to go forth with a point and click adventure style game, but the bones of the system are there and it works well. The characters are cute and the dialogue is written in an intuitive way that makes every couple words that can fit on the screen really hit.

I love this! Your spritework packs so much expressiveness into so few pixels, I am in awe. Your cutscenes are great, too. Well done.

I love it! With some other games, they feel constrained by the small resolution, but I think you really make it work! The art is also really gorgeous , and the story is funny and charming. I especially love the class rep's entrance XD. I'd actually want to see more!

It actually feels pretty polished to me. My only gripe is that you can't skip through dialogue. Otherwise, great entry!

Developer

Thank you dopey_kun! Yes, I added text skip yesterday because it got really annoying during testing without it haha  🙈

A really cute and charming little rpg.  The story is a bit linear there's not much you can do during a game jam anyway.  The art is absolutely fantastic!  The colors are so pretty!  Amazing job!

This game had a lot of charm and had a thoroughly set cute aesthetic ! The graphics and overall visual style, alongside a pretty cute story with charismatic characters was super enjoyable to play. The sound fit super well and especially with the intro I felt like there was a lot of polish. The cursor didn't match the resolution (not that it matters) but just something I noticed. Overall, super well done!

PS keep going with Godot! I'm no expert but I've made a few games now and I'm enjoying what this engine has to offer!

Developer

Thank you chiyeon! Yes I switched the sprite of the original cursor that's why it doesn't match the resolution. I tried with a fake cursor made with an Area2D at first but that one got hidden below the dialogue box(canvaslayer) and I didn't have time to fix it. 🙈

And yes! I really enjoy learning Godot! :) It's amazing how many good learning resources are out for it.
