How does your game fit the theme?
The game is centered around a character venturing into territories occupied by Jiang-shis (vampires in Chinese folklore). Jiang-shis are known to be able to detect when you are breathing to hunt you down. The character has to get around this by taking a deep breath and holding it.

I loved the base idea for the game!!!! Really cool for a jam! I think if you polish the level design and make it a bit more stupid-proof (for players like me who keep falling down :p) it would be a really fun experience. Some more narrative elements to the story of the main character would be cool too! I would be excited to know more.
I am so glad you enjoyed it! I'll admit I have gotten quite attached to the main character and I may have plans to expand on the game in the future (if not this particular game, I might create a 'sequel'). Indeed, some polish is needed of course. Thank you so much for playing!
Omg! Absolutely stunning graphics. I love the concept of a cowardly brave hero saving dogs. I spent a lot of time playing the boss fight, but unfortunately wasn't able to beat it due to taking damage from the spawned eyeballs. One suggestion I have is to add an indicator for the boss's health. But aside from that, I really enjoyed the overall experience. Fantastic job!
Thank you so much for playing! Aw, I'm sure you CAN beat it! The thing that most people have trouble with is the 'marked' debuff, and if you manage that correctly, you'll beat her! An indicator for the boss' health was originally planned for, but I ran out of time :'). Again, thank you so much!
Refreshing style and worldbuilding
Thank you for playing!
Wonderful game! Solid experience, lacking nothing but the polishing touches necessary to become a real game. There seems to be a lot of words in the story, I mean, I don't need to read "the bad guys hurt people", if I can see the zombies doing just that. Your game made me realize the true gist of the theme, even.
I had thought that the theme's idea was related to: "stop and relax" instead of "tighten yourself up and keep going", even though I have already seen multiple games working the same angle. The key word was "plague". Wonderful narrative choice, now that I think about it. You went far back in the past to draw a parallel with what people are doing today. Everybody's doing that right? Holding their breath as they pass people they once knew, right? At least in very populous places. One thing that stands out is the position of the player as hero and not someone who's trying to escape. That was also key.
The more I think about, the more I think that if it were up to me (mind you that I still have to review about 300 games), the narrative choice alone could be enough to win first prize.
Glad I got to review this! Thanks for your work, and, although I'm not much of a gamer, I'll keep an eye out for Wilk Games!
Thank you so much for the in-depth analysis! Indeed, I thought long and hard about the theme, and what you said about drawing a parallel with people holding their breath as they pass those they once knew rings true to me due to circumstances surrounding my personal life recently.
Very honored to have received your review, and I am extremely happy you enjoyed it! Thank you again for playing!
Cool game, loved the little touches like player character turning grey when behind objects.
Thanks for playing the game!
Smart choice of enemies and obstacles! Very thematic. Very happy to see small details like the ring below the character and visibility behind obstacles as well.
Thank you so much for playing!
Really cool game !
Perfectly on point with the theme.
Only little feedback : using escape to close dialogues is a bit annoying for the web-build as it makes you leave fullscreen.
Apart from that it's pretty much a perfect jam entry. Great job !
Thank you so much! Made the web build as a last minute decision and completely missed the Esc problem :(. I'll definitely change it for a future build when I can! Glad you enjoyed it!
Interesting premise and game features. Beautiful graphics, and above average user experience. Very well done!
Thank you very much for playing! So happy you enjoyed it!
Nice game.
Perfectly in line with the theme.
Thank you very much! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
