Such a smart idea with the rain

Fantastic game! Great bullet-time challenges. I ended up playing the challenges with bullet-time on all the time. Not sure if it was intented. Battery-life for bullet-time would definitely make an additional layer to the challenge, but I'm not sure would it be worth it. I had good time like this as well :)

Calm music and sfx work well. Step sounds made it feel like a rainy day wet ground. Main character is really cute

Great job!

Adorable! The only feedback i have is that maybe the breath should be limited. as it is the only reason i had to not hold my breath was to rest my eyes from the pixels jittering. otherwise i just stayed in slowdown consistently

Developer(+1)

Noted: pixel jitter and time limit :)

Thank you so much for to playing our game ;)

Cute art, interesting level design. Overall a very solid game. I found a bug though, you can float by mashing the spacebar :)

Nice work!

Developer(+1)

haha, thanks for that! hope you enjoyed :)

Nice Ginyu Force mechanics

Developer

Ah, I see you are a person of culture as well

Neat. Would've been nice to have some sort of visual indication that the player is taking a deep breath while pressing shift, and maybe something that prevents you from just holding shift all the time!

Developer

Thanks! We'll be sure to add that after the jam!

If you liked this game you might also enjoy Lost Gorga. It was created for a separate game jam, and polished afterwards. We hope to do the same to Chrono!

This is my comment as a player.

1. I like the game. I think the slowing time when take a deep breath is quite good and unique,

2. I think its better if there's a limit how long the player can hold the breath so it will be more challenging.

3. The artstyle can be improve. It looks weird the water drops like that.

4. More mechanics and obstacle can be add to make the game more interesting

Thanks for the feedback! Our usual artist was unavailable for the jam, so we had to improvise. I would like to update the graphics as well. Again, thanks for your insights :)

I enjoyed playing this game. I think the time slow mechanic is cool, I personally haven't seen something like it in a platformer before. I do wish the mechanic worked off a resource bar or something (so you had to plan when to use it). As is I just held it down for the entire game so I never really needed to use "normal speed". Another cool idea would be to slow down the music when you slow down time (or play an effect). Nice game :)

Developer

Having a slow version of the music is a great idea! We slowed down the sound effects of the jump and footsteps. We'll be sure to add a resource tracking UI after the jam. Limiting the breath was a consideration. We'll have to add that! Thanks for the feedback.
