Great game! After playing once I had to play it again to see what happens if i didn't help anyone.

Pretty good result.
Web version is unplayable at this state... Looked at the comments, tried the desktop one, much better.
The look of the visual is very pleasing but I find it harder to get a good appreciation of the distances and the shapes arete (peak) with the cell shade. Especially for a platformer
Thanks for playing! It's my first 3D game so a lot of lessons were learned from this so thank you for the feedback! The web version really is a pain to deal with. I really couldn't find a solution for the buggy mouse, though it does seem to work for some people, including my own PC, which is just really annoying :( I understand the problem of being unable to judge distances because of the shader (which is actually unlit). This actually prevents me from being able to use shadows though I did think of a workaround for that. Unfortunately, I was unable to implement the workaround because I was running out of time. Since I was doing everything for the game, it was very difficult to get everything in. Anyway, thanks for playing my game! Notes were taken so thanks again for the feedback!
This was a really cool game. The art was vibrant and I like the fact that you decided to keep it simple and not add too many colors. The theme was integrated in a very unique way. My only suggestion for improvement would be to make the movement a bit more tight. I feel like this would especially make the part right after second checkpoint(where you first introduce the slanted tiles) really enjoyable. Overall a really great game though, loved it.
Really love it!
The movement sometimes felt weird, but overall it was almost perfect! Good job!
A very lovely game! The visuals and music were great, (though the latter was a tad high pitched) and you took the theme in a very creative direction. I could easily see this being a sort of meta commentary on video games in a fully fledged game! My only real suggestion is to tighten up the controls a bit. Great job!
Thank you so much! Yeah, music could use some improvement ;p I wanted to put a good twist in the game jam's theme so I did this :P It could still get a few more improvements because the jam's theme was only apparent in the ending but lesson learned I guess! And yeah, I do agree the controls need to tighten up a bit so I'll make some improvements after the jam's ratings end. Thank you so much again for playing! I really appreciate the feedback!
As I was playing this game thinking about what to write, it was going to start "I hate this game in the best way possible" I will continue with that same thought process I had as I played the game, just as the dev and for anyone else who has reached the end, you'll know what I mean. If you haven't finished, go play, then return.
"Wow this is a beautiful aesthetic. The colors work so well together, the music is great, and...oh...this is TIMED? Oh you are on Kiwi! Im going to get the fastest time and I will not stop until I do. (Skip forward) HOW DO YOU EXPECT ME TO NOT SAVE A CAT IN A TREE. All I want to do is explore and accomplish everything you have put here. (Time warp) Hmm, Longcut or Shortcut. Well you've already put me off track with the cat, long it is, ugh. OH! A PUZZLE! I love puzzles :) (Time warp) Ah I see you've lost your ball, no worries, ill casually stroll over and get it for you! I'm in no rush anyways. (Time warp) Blah blah, my time is whatever, cool, I don't even care anymo...oh...oh :)"
I genuinely laughed at this long paragraph of your train of thought. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
That was more or less how I wanted the player to experience the game. I designed it such that the player would choose. I'm sure that there would have been things that could have been improved on the game but I'm glad it turned out fine :D
I will try to give a constructive full comment, but I will start with "This game is just great". Overall the game is five stars for sure, this great color palette, relaxing music across the games difficulty, level design and incredibly smooth controls, I just love it. I really hope you will continue making it and bring this to something like "Getting over it", good luck, you did awesome job).
Found the web version hard to play but I remembered playing a web game before where the sensitivity was way too high so instead I tried the windows version. For people saying they found the player too fast to move, I recommend playing one of the downloadable versions for a better experience. Absolutely loved the graphics, but the music didn't quite fit. I think if you used gentler sounding instruments it would've been amazing. The platforms were a little tricky and sometimes I couldn't see where I needed to go next, but I managed to work it out so it wasn't that big of a deal. A jumping and landing sound would've been nice. The theme interpretation was a little lazy and cheesy but hey it was a great game regardless.
Thanks for playing! The web version really does screw the game up! I spent hours trying to fix the problems that only occurs in the web version but to no avail. I see what you mean about the music. It's kind of difficult to create calm sounding music in Bosca Ceoil because of its limitations to dynamics. I can't really change the volume of the instruments throughout the song and I'm kind of stuck with just one "volume". That said, I think that the music itself can still improve which is entirely on me so thanks for the feedback! As for the platforming, I had to cut a few corners in platforming which would have made the experience much better but alas, time was not on my side. Definitely learned from the numerous feedback I got which is great :P I kinda like putting twists into themes but I guess having the twist only apparent in the end was a blunder in my end. Anyway, thank you for the lengthy comment on my game! I'm glad you took the time to write an entire paragraph down since not everyone would do such a thing :P Thank you for hosting this jam and playing my game!
A really great game! the graphics are stunning and wonderful! The gameplay is cool, but sometimesit fells like it slides to far, but still an amazing experience!
Fun and frustrating game. I like the art style but I think a shader with shadows or something would make it easier to get some depth perception for the platforming
the game is mesmerizing and really cool, however, the controls are a bit frustrating. Overall good one! keep it up!
I loved this game, the art is amazing, the gameplay is simple but the level design makes it super fun, besides having a beautiful message and being super original
subbed and can't wait for your vid, meanwhile i'll be playing around with unlit shaders. i'm watching your 3 colours vid rn and dude i swear you can make tutorials as you have a very clear voice all u need to worry about is structuring it right which should be easy since everybody is doing tutorials now so just copy ur favourite. can't wait to see what you come up with next, good luck man.
you're welcome man you really earned it. you should check out miziziziz on youtube since you're a godot user too, i don't even use godot but i like the way he explains things and he also has impeccable taste in colors like you(idk if that's a godot thing but it's a weird similarity), anyway good luck with everything man, hope it all goes well.
