  • Lovely character art placed on a rock solid mechanical foundation. There is some tweaking we would do to the player movement as it feels very hectic and fast. It doesnt hinder the gameplay but it does make even simple movement feel out of control and oversensitive. Music is great. Tiled maps with jumps that require you to switch tiles mid jump are not.

An interesting idea to have multiple machines suited for different environment interactions.

PROS:

  • The character art is super cute and each of the mechs has its own charm.
  • The audio creates a nice ambient environment without being overbearing so it's executed well.
  • There are numerous ways that puzzles could scale with the various interactions between the character abilities and the environment.

CRITIQUE:

  • Definitely collision issues with several parts of the levels. Hit boxes for the spike or fire objects feels a bit large and unforgiving and generic base collision blocks often have me floating up the sides of them.
  • The vertical speed of the jumping is really fast right now with the severity of the gravity and the speed with which the ascends during jumps. Add that to the slightly large hit-boxes on things that instantly kill you and you've got a lot of possible frustration points to come across.
  • I found myself wanting to explore the seed growing mechanic a lot more just to test the extent of maps and where I could possibly find secret areas. The limit to the number of seeds might be to keep me from just escaping levels everywhere, but it would be interesting if players were allowed to go nuts with it and be rewarded for doing so. Beyond that I would just run out of seeds by default going from one puzzle to the next because I didn't know how to get more. I thought that maybe burning boxes that didn't seem necessary for the platforming might get me a pickup from inside, but that didn't seem to be the case.

Really cool mechanics in this puzzle/platformer !

The elements and environement interactions are really good and i like the possibilities they offer, even if there's a handy tutorial explaining the basics, i really enjoyed the fact that as soon as i tried switching by myself after trying the fire/put out fire with the water mech, and saw a plant mech i instinctively tried to water the seed and bam plant grows to create a platform :D Thats a sign of well thougt out mechanics.

While not detracting from the quality of the game, it unfortunately has some issues. Character movement felt a bit too fast and made it hard to jump precisely, and the jump physics them selves feel a bit odd (not sure how to describe it) also got stuck on the first level after the tutorial cause i wasn't sure how to get a crate on a button to hold the door open.

Now with that said, still the game has lots of qualities and charm, especially visually with these mech designs, gotta love the water mech with it's little snorkle/exaust thing XD

Good job to you all :)

Fun puzzle platformer! The tutorial got me up to speed nice and smoothly. I like the mechanics with the mechs and thinking when to use each mech. Could definitely use a bit of refinement overall, but I could see this being a nice little game. Nice work!

Clever mechanics, I think the levels could definitely use some refinement though. Especially the crates.

Really fun concept for a puzzle platformer. I loved how you build the tutorial into the first levels.  Fun character ideas and art too.

I wish I could have gone farther, but I got stuck with the red button that didn't seem to do anything.

you may have missed the elevator on that level! it is near the start

Very interesting mechanic! Plant mech is definitely my favorite :)

Cute designs and enjoyed the music! It was a bit tricky when getting stuck into the platforms sometimes. Great idea with the 3 different mechs and abilities!

I liked that tutorial screen pan. The primary mechanic is great, and you handled it (introduce - test - elaborate) really well.

I managed to get myself stuck under a moving platform haha

I really-really enjoyed the mechanic of the 3 robots and how they complement each other. All of them with strong designs and cutie animations.
Fantastic overall!

Great take on a platformer. Cute graphics, good music choice. Very creative approach to switching characters and using their skills. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm kinda not great at jumping, but I quite liked the game as far as I got.

plant mech is not placing seed can you fix it please!

Developer

It should place seeds? Which level is this on? Each level has a max seed count.

Submitted

first level only. I was unable to plant the seed with left click so never moved ahead.

Nice puzzle platformer, frustrating collisions and slippery platforming make it a bit tedious.
