A really cool idea, I enjoyed the pixelwork too. Good job

I enjoyed it! The concept was neat and I liked the use of the limitation a lot. The ending made me sad though :(

Developer(+1)

Glad you liked it! And sorry for the ending hahaha.

I liked the effect of parts turning into stone. The double jump was a little finicky. Otherwise great entry. Check out my live review at https://www.twitch.tv/scalphamission

Thank you so much for the review! I watched the part in the live where you played my game so thank you very much for the good advice. I'll keep in mind the contrast, reloading music and the controls. Thanks again :)

I like it! The concept is unique, losing abilities overtime, and it was pretty well executed! Like TomPuffs said though, the art department was kinda lacking. Everything felt a little flat and I believe the main character is a traced version of Mega Man (which in this scenario there's nothing wrong with, but it kinda loses uniqueness). Movement could definitely also get a small improvement, it felt kinda jank to control sometimes.

Other than those things, great game and lots of fun! Great job!

Haha, megaman of antiquity! This was fun

The game is not bad. But after some time games, I had a bug that my character could not jump.

Developer

The premise of the game is that every 10 seconds, you lose a certain ability (double jump, jump, speed...) but if it's a different bug, I'll definitely look in to it. Thank you for taking your time to play the game :)

cool game but my jump hieght doesn’t seem to be high enough to reach a part of the level love the NES feel of the art!

The idea is fantastic. Also, I'm a big fan of greek mithology so extra points haha. The art is so cool, the palette you chose fits perfect with the game ambientation and looks incredible. Just to point something to improve as other people say the movement feels a bit weird. However, really great job overall.

Nice and unique idea! I liked how it used a limited amount of colors, and the colors you used reminded me of old parchment paper. The art is kinda cool, but the pixels aren't uniform (the same size), which gives the game a hastily crafted vibe. I would recommend creating all of your assets near each other on the same canvas.  The movement felt awkward, too. I can't put it into words, but it just did not feel nice to control, and I kept landing to places where I didn't wanna land at. I recommend the next time you make a platformer, to change and tweak any issues with the movement immediately, as you could get used to them and not realize that they are any issues.

Other than that, nice job!

Developer

Thank you a lot for the extensive review! I agree about the movement, I'll try to make a few prototypes with better movement. I also didn't really know that much about different sizes/resolutions so that's really good advice. Thanks again :)

You're welcome!

This is sick. Really cool how all the levels are possible with a single jump but much easier with the double.

I did not find the antidote, but I enjoyed pushing crates and solving the little puzzles. Good game and cool concept!

At first I didn't notice there was a double jump and went back to try again once I read these comments. I enjoyed the short narrative and the platforming challenge. Nice work!

The concept is pretty cool and quite unique; I really like it. I like the art as well.

tho the controls are a bit annoying, especially the double-jump, it is quite inconsistent.

Developer

Thanks, I'll probably fix it once everything is over :)

loved it!

Interesting concept of losing abilities instead of gaining new ones. With this you've to think what to do first and be fast enough. I feel like the double jump is kinda difficult to activate some times. It only activated when pressing jump at specific times for some reason (while I still had this ability of course). And I do like the whole Mega Man estetic :3

Developer

Thank you so much for the feedback :)

P.S.

I find the double jump annoying too, I've had some trouble implementing it hahaha.

I mean stuff like that happens, especially in game jams :D
