very nice game mechanic collecting colours to make the world colourful good job on your game.
I was wondering what it would take to get me to do 5 stars on the limitation and here it is. Wow. Check out my live review at https://www.twitch.tv/scalphamission
Very cool use of the limitation! I love the cat animations, and I was always eager to get the colors and see what the background was. As others have said, discovering the first color was always real interesting because you had to traverse the maze by touching the walls.
I was super curious to see others' interpretation for this limitation, and I can already see I'll be pleasantly surprised! Great job!
Probably the most creative way to use a limitation, very, very, good job :D
This game I great. I like how the limitation isn't just a limitation, it's the core mechanic of the game. Most original use of it I've seen yet
Very original concept and use of the limitation.
Thumb up!
Love the use of the limitation, the concept is really fun! Some parts of the jumps made it frustrating but the completed background art made the frustration vanish. Maybe add some ambient background music, and an option to lower the jump noise. :D Overall, very unique! Love the invisible maze platforms before you take a colour!
Waow, very good use of the limitation !
I love the looks of the game and the concept is amazing, great job :)
good work
Pretty interesting! I don't think I can say much that hasn't been said already - of course it is unfortunate about the framerate dependancy, but the core idea was well executed and is for sure worth playing
What a unique concept and use of visuals!
The backgrounds where really amazing pixel artworks!
The movement mechanics where a bit frustrating sometimes but the artwork really made up for that!
Maybe add some nice background music and lower the volume of the jump sound a bit.
Overall, really great and really unique game!

Wow, the concept was amazing and unique. The visual are also amazing.
I have no complains, good job! :)
Really good idea! though I noticed a problem where the jump height and gravity are tied to monitor refresh rate- at my monitors default (165Hz), I could only jump one block high, but when I lowered it to 60Hz, I was able to jump 5 or so high.
Aside from that programming oversight, good idea!
I never had any issues, weird.
Super rad little game, a real nice "aha!" moment when you learn the mechanics. It does feel like physics are linked to refresh rate though which is a little scuffed for a platformer. Overall though, very cool game
Impressive art and nice sound effects, the gameplay of revealing new parts of the level with new colors was original and fun
Super interesting artwork & the best use of the limitation I've seen so far. However, I had some issues with the gameplay. Got stuck twice in the second level by dropping to the lower part of the level and couldn't get back up. Is the cat meant to jump higher than just 1 tile?
Yeah sorry it seems that the jump is tied to the monitor's refresh rate. I just realized now from the comments :( .
Is the run speed also fast/slow for you than what appears here?
Run speed is super fast for me.
Sorry for the inconvenience. Would you please be able to confirm if it is fixed in this build: https://aerial301.itch.io/test-build?secret=1bOamIcHq834fZJ8LOvAP6E
Yep that fixed it!
Great work! i quiet enjoyed this, clever use of the limitation.
Great art work, sounds, everything, it all fit in well.
Keep it up!
