Very unique game, had lots of fun! Graphics and sounds were great. Only thing I found was that in can be difficult to easily enter each maze at first.
A beautiful super dynamic maze game
Well done
really nice art the side to side movement was so fast I ended up getting stuck on the little gaps and getting crushed from time to time other then that pretty good game.
The shooting felt pretty good, but everything was so fast I had a hard time keeping up. Cool idea.
Really amazing gameplay wise and the art is cool as well but its sorta a mess with the different pixel sizes
This is the art style I want to move towards. Very Neo Geo. Check out my live review at https://www.twitch.tv/scalphamission
I very like retro graphic style and sound effects. The idea with maze is nice and make game harder. The game have fantastic animation of main hero motions. What I will suggest is make a more visible maze when you fly in. Because then you don't see which way is ok and game kill you if you make mistake :c Great work :)
I think the enemies move too fast but I really liked the labyrinth system. You could mix a longer shoot phase and labyrinths it could be fun ^^ They could also be procedurally generated for endless fun, that's a nice entry GG.
retro arcade vibes strong with this game. Loved the spinning slowing down when moving and shooting, felt like I had some added control over the character. Shooting and combat felt good, though I was hoping for a bit more of a challenge.
Great submissions overall. Enjoyed my playthru!
Hey, very interesting mix up of genres! The combat feels juicy - kinda brought me back to arcade shooters, and the game looks great. Traversing the maze had some minor control sensibility issues as mentioned previously, but the whole game idea worked pretty well overall. And the game is fun to play!
Are the mazes procedurally generated? They had lots of variety
Great work
Thank you very much! I made the movement speed a bit too high to make it easy for the player to quickly collect all coins in the maze and get the maze-clear bonus, but yeah that made it hard to go through some of the paths in the middle with that high speed.
And yes, the mazes are procedurally generated, and the coins are placed where ever the algorithm stops at a dead end and has to traverse back. The entrance and exit on the top and bottom are just randomly placed however.
Thanks again for playing and for the feedback!
The art in the game looks great and leaves nothing to be desired, although I the game felt a little to forgiving, and I found losing to be quite challenging. Other than that, there is not much else missing. Great submission!
was a lot of fun tho i think it is a bit too forgiving but you have an awesome artstyle and great game overall cool
I've never played an arcade shooter where healing damage is part of the gameplay, cool way to tie it into the concept. The level itself being a labyrinth sold me though! It was really cool to adjust to it.
I feel like the sensitivity of controls was a bit too high and I wish you could hold down the fire button to continuously fire. Other than that, A+ on visuals, sounds and overall concept! :D
Thanks for playing and for the feedback! I really appreciate it! Weird that it does not fire while holding for you because it should. It might be a browser related issue that I will have to investigate later.
Woah!! Was an amazing experience !! Nice motions!
Thanks a lot! Very glad that enjoyed it.
