Use of the limitation
You are a doctor in an endless looping hospital building. You can only go up the floors until you loop back to the first, so the only way is up.

Zero! I had a delicious passion fruit pie though :)

The visuals and the sound effects are amazing<3

Probably my favorite game so far! I got a good score in all levels, the last one was so hard! I love the way you used the limitation, and I had a lot of fun. The art is cute, the sound effects very nice and the music suits the mood! Very impressive that you did all of it, it's amazing! Amazing job :)

I liked bouncing around and injecting all the patients with koolaid, but I couldn't figure out what to do when 3 people wanted blood and there was only one blood item on the level. I tried taking one patients blood to give to another, but then they both died.

Developer

Oh, there is a little problem with the blood mechanic: Since it's 100% random when a patient will come up with that disease, you may get extremely unlucky and get lots of patients needing blood back-to-back. To ease that, there were cabinets where you could store blood for later use, but even so, RNG can definitely screw you up.

Taking blood from a patient that needs blood is considered a medical error in the game, so the result was intended, but yeah I should've thought of a better randomized distribution (one that ensured at least some patients with other diseases first to let you stock up blood)

Thank you so much for playing!

I loved the interface and the graphic style. I got a little lost in the controls but I still had fun, good job!

I loved how hectic the resource management can get! It was also very confusing dealing with controls and item convination/interactions without any tutorial or indications. (Thankfully you added that in the description)

This game felt very fun once you get the hang of it.

Wow. I am impressive about your game :) Idea of infinity scroll to jump up is unique. I like graphics style and also music. Balance is perfect, difficulty level changes wow. Sorry but I can't give you a feedback what you can improve... It is perfect <3 Great job.

Developer

Thank you so much for the kind words!

a simple tutorial on what to do on the first level would really help since it took me a wile to figure out what I was doing even after reading your desc for the game. Might be just that my brain is not fully working at the moment as well though?

Developer

Haha I agree! I was planning to do it, but time was passing by and I ended up making the first level easier to make up for that and let the player explore their actions/movement and the whole concept of the game. But you're right. And thanks for playing!

yeah time limit of three days tends to make you have to drop stuff. But any ways the art and music were great not sure why I didn't say that in my first comment.

To be truthful, I didn't find the game particularly enjoyable. However, I wouldn't go so far as to say that the game itself was bad. In fact, it was a fantastic example of a "good" bad experience. The game successfully evoked a sense of hospital anxiety in me, and I felt a strong urge to save the patients as if their lives were in my hands. This is a testament to your excellent ability to accurately synthesize this feeling. Great job, Thinker!

There was a movie I watched a long time ago called "Melancholia" that came to mind when I read your comment. It was an interesting movie because while it was somewhat boring and lifeless, it was meant to elicit that exact feeling in you, the feeling that everything was hopeless and meaningless because the world was about to end anyway. At the end I was hella melancholic, and at first thought "wow, I didn't like this", but then it came to me: The movie was making me feel EXACTLY as their creators intended.

It's interesting because depending on the way I'm feeling , certain games become instantly unplayable to me, like Darkest Dungeon for instance (that makes me extremely anxious - even though I love that game). It isn't the games' fault, of course, but it's kinda cool how this media can bring out such emotions and feelings. Thank you so much for playing!

cool game! tho i experienced a few problems and didn't understand you could draw blood honestly the only thing missing from the game i would recommend is to make a tutorial otherwise i have no complaints

Great work - keep it up!

Damn Its so good.  The pressure is so damn good maybe some explanation in the beginning would be nice and that's it. cool game :D

Developer

I agree! I wanted to put in a basic tutorial, but at the end I had to rush to put everything together. Thanks for playing!

Cool concept. At first I felt frustrated when patients were dropped off below me, until I realized that it was a looping game! This changed everything, and was the key mechanic that unlocked the fun. Great use of the UI, tracking patient needs, their health ticking down, descriptions of the interactables. All in all, a very cozy, fun game reminiscent of diner dash. Great job!

Developer

I had to look up diner dash since I've never played it, and yes! There is definitely a resemblance. Thanks for playing!

Submitted

maybe not diner dash, but the concept of customer needs and filling their orders (in your case patient needs)

Really cool concpets love the mini games and artstyle. Had a blast just toying with the game and seeing visually what would happen.

Developer

Thanks! I wanted to make a simple tutorial just for the basic stuff but since I had little time I decided to just make the first level easier to allow for exploration and figuring things out by your own. I'm glad you liked toying with the game!

My first 5/5 so far. I'm just completely in awe of the camera hacks and infinite scroll. Controlls could be tightened up but that's nitpicking at this point! Fantastic idea :)

Developer

Thanks a lot! Looking forward for our possible future collab!

I really enjoyed this game. At first I was confused about how I'm supposed to anticipate what a patient above needs when I can't see them but then I realized that the levels loop. I also didn't know that you could draw blood and keep items on the table but it felt so good when I realized it. Love that you have to plan ahead and store blood for future patients. A very fun game, good job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! The idea seems rather creepy now that I think about it (taking out blood from sick patients and storing it to later give to others that need blood) haha but I'm glad it worked.

Hey I'm not above running a hospital like Fawlty Towers. I thought it was hilarious!

Excellent game! One of the best for sure. Unique concept and neat presentation. Very enjoyable gameplay.

It gets a bit tricky when you get a bunch of ones requiring blood and there is no suitable guy to pull blood from. But being able to put stuff on the drawer top is very helpful since you can just get one requiring glitter and keep pulling blood to store it for later use.

There is a small bug where sometimes the icone above the patient is invisible and if you treat him another patient gets his icone removed as well:

Other than that the game is veeery fun and quite polished. Well done!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! And aw, I thought I had fixed that bug hahah, found it like hours before submission and just slapped a quick (yet mal-functioning) fix.

It seems I got the difficult ramp right tho, considering your ranking haha. Again, thanks!
