Cool game, I love the idea. I don't know if the new dangers are completely random every 10s, but I ended up with something unplayable: spike balls everywhere. Also, I could still play with no hearts, I guess you die if you get hit when you have no hearts left, but that quite unusual in platformers. Death usually comes as soon as you lose your last heart.
Again, very good idea, perfect for a jam. Good job!
the game is suppose to tilt the platform if more then 4 spike balls are on the platform no matter what . but yeah the dangers are all random so you can get really unlucky. as for the heart thing figured it would be better to have one last chance to stay alive. I guess in hind sight I could have just made it 4 hearts on the display instead hmm. Thanks for the feedback and for playing my game.
It was really enjoyable to play. The obstacles and stage hazards were fun to figure out how to solve. There should be more anticipation and telegraphing of the sudden shots of danger, but other than that it wasn't impossible to play. Very fun platformer too.
yeah just having it light up where they are going to fire off is not enough the spikes balls have pretty much no warning at all. Thanks for playing
Great concept! I think adding layers of less intense but continuous dangers every 10 seconds (instead of the short bursts of danger) would have been more interesting; it felt like I was idle for most of 10 seconds between sudden onslaughts of danger.
I do agree with that I was way to stuck on the idea of they have to be 10 seconds to fit the limitation. A few people have said the same thing the only time something really is going on between is when you have the line of fire balls flying up which once you dodge doesn't matter to you anymore.
I was really surprised when the platform start to lean on side, that was cool, good job!
yeah it does come at you out of nowhere if you are really lucky/unlucky it can be one of the first things that happens. Thanks for playing

Kinda got screwed by fireballs spawning on me a few times, but overall pretty fun! Felt like a Mario Party minigame, and really cool leaderboard
yeah the rng is not on your side i guess. I am doing some tweaks to the timing on the line of fireballs making them a bit easier to dodge. Thanks for playing glad you had fun

Is there a chance you'll increase the drop chance of a heart depending on the players health?
yeah and the platforms slowly shrinks to a point as well making it harder. That is a good idea I could make it so when you have no hearts left it will always throw out hearts if they land in a area you can get is a different story. A very easy thing to add in I'll do that and update the game right after I post this comment

I loved that I could use a game pad. The game is very interesting. Took me back to Atari and Nes games.

Where is moon?
No moon don't need it theme is optional. although I was going to add a falling moon and such to the game though but didn't have the time to make much art was mostly using old art from my other projects this time around sadly. Maybe I will add some of that kinda of thing in updates.
I had a lot of fun with your game. I spent most of the time playing spamming back and forth making the character dance to the music. I swear I made it to 2 minutes and 50 seconds but it didn't save that highscore for some reason. Really awesome concept and good use of the limitation.
Thanks for playing weird the game didn't save your highscore properly says you got 51 seconds I changed it to 2minutes and 51 seconds for you though. If you said you made it 10 minutes or more I would have been nah lol. I'll have to test it some more to make sure its saving properly.
The highscore system is really cool! I wish I had implemented that on my submission, it'd definitely fit the asteroids style of game to have something similar.
yeah I got it put in my game in the last 2 hours before the jam ended was glad I got it all working in time game would feel more empty with out it.
