i found a little hard to distinguish between the floor and the spikes sometimes.
But it was pretty cool, some interesting mechanichs there, and fun to play.

box.

Very cute game! It was really cheesable at a lot of points where you could just platform up by spamming knives and jumps but the puzzles were neat.

Real cute lil puzzler! I feel like I haven't really seen these colours in pico-8 before, custom palette? Knives and Time Stop is usually a combat or touhou motif so it was real cool to see it used with creative puzzles like this, great work!

Hi! Thanks for playing my game! The game is made using tic80 which is kinda similar to pico8. I havent use pico8 but tic80 does allow custom pallete

oh nice! i've used Tic-80 before, I really enjoy it's mobile support.

being able to create your own platform is really fun :)

This is really solid! Love the visual style and colour scheme. The time stop + knives system is very flexible as well, it’s a really interesting platforming mechanic - but also narratively feels extremely cool to be balancing on a knife.

I think it would have been nice to interact with the fireflies in even the smallest way - such as the lights avoiding the player when the player moves, or a button-press near them to add them to a ‘jar score’ in the corner. But I’ll admit coming across fireflies in a scene was always a joy regardless of interactivity, so I can’t really complain!

interesting concept and soothing color scheme. i really liked that there were different ways to progress thru each room

This one is truly creative and fun. It deserves to be developed into an entire full version

Every single mechanic in this game is so good, when  you mix the all together, they are amazing! They feel so good and the art is also very good. I had a blast playing this game!

Love the knife stopping mechanic and the art! Would love to see more of this game!

It has such a cozy atmosphere. I liked it, it was fun to play and some levels with the doors got me thinking hahaha. The mechanics are very polished, it felt great to play. Congrats on the submission! ヾ(≧▽≦*)

The different was that the knives and time-stop mechanic interact and work with levels is very well done! Some levels can be almost completely skipped using knife trails while time is stopped, so maybe use a limit per-level. Aside from that, the mechanics are very fun, the puzzles are well designed, the art is great, and the reflex-based levels seem like a better fit for the mechanics to me. Good job!

Satisfied that I managed to softlock myself! I think some of the rooms were cheeseable by having time stopped and slowly moving up a trail of knives. The physics were fun, tho a bit of coyote time and jump buffering will always make a platformer feel better (except maybe Crash Bandicoot)

oh my god, this is so good! I finished it, and I have to say I love all the ways in which you can use the knives and time stop. The pixel art is simple but well made and the puzzles are good, the fact that there is more than one way to solve them gives a good sense of freedom. Maybe you could make a post-jam update to add music and sound effects (I lack those as well lmao) Overall a great game, well done!

your game reminds me of celeste a fair bit, was is an inspiration?

Hiiii! Thanks for playing my game! I have been wanting to make a platformer for a while now, so the game does got some inspiration from celeste. The game also got inspirated a lot from touhou luna night, which have a knife throwing time stopping maid.

It is kind of hard to make art, code and music in a jam as a one person army, but I am working on it and there will be music in my future jam, some day.

I've played it till the end, this game right here is the real definition of freedom. This game can make you feel creative, amazed, and having fun.

I have a lot of fun by combining time stop and the knives, which is actually too op. maybe limiting the knives can be used with some reload system (or longer cooldown), and for time stop it actually can be used infinitely, which accidently gave me a strange way to clear the levels, other than some 3 locks level and the one box falling, I felt I'm not using anything beside knives and time stop

DISCLAIMER,

Yeah with time stop and multiple knives, I could make a moving platform and

stairs?...

Yeah with these screen shots, we could understand just how op this 2 mechanics combine.

And for last, yeah your game is just so fun!

Developer

Hi! Thanks for playing my game! I agree that the knife timestop mechanic is too op for a puzzle game. But I realized that too late in the design and kinda just try to make the real solution obvious and easy enough. Beside there is a skip level button anyway. If I expand this game I will definitely find a way to nerf this mechanic tho
