I am a huge fan of the artwork. The white outlines of the the enemies and the player fits good on the galaxy background.

The controls were a bit hard but after a minute i got used to it. Maybe you make the game a bit easier at the beginning.

Developer

Thank you! Yes, I will definitely learn from this game jam to make it easier at the beginning. Glad you liked it!

I really liked your game, the artwork looks great. I've only got a high score of 400, it's hard! Good job!

Developer

Thank you! 400 is good, it's a very difficult game. Thanks for playing!

Nice game! Simple concept, good artwork and clear rules helped the game to easily adapted and enjoyable to play. The game was harder than I anticipated, but that keeps the replayability better so I guess it's a good thing. Good work with the themes also + the story was really nice.

Developer

Thank you very much! I'm glad you liked it!

Very cute game, quick fun, clean art and aesthetics overall nice experience. Controls felt pretty unnatural to me and I feel if you added something where it follows the mouse it would be really easy to port for phones which this would probably do well on. Nice job!

Developer

Thanks for your feedback! I sat a long time with the controls since I knew that would make or break this kind of game. I think controls are very subjective and even though I agree with you that controlling with a mouse is easier, I felt like these controls suited this game better.

I really love the art style, can I work with you someday?

Developer

Thank you so much! Perhaps we can, but I already have a group I usually game jam with. They were just spending time with family over Easter while I was at home, sick.

Hello @anciny, I like your games. I have my degree in Game Dev, but i would like to make more games for my portfolio. I like what you created so far and would like to Jam with you or even just make several small games together. I mainly do development work but if you have a group already and need some coverage i can cover most areas.  DM me

This is a very nicely polished, simple game. Very fun, good music, good sounds. Great job.

Developer

Thank you so much!

Wow - really clean looking game! You've got a unique approach to visuals that suits the arcade-like feel of the game. Music and SFX go well with that theme too. Overall a tight experience. I like that you've included the menu on front - a lot of people overlook music and sound sliders. I wish we'd thought of that. Nice job!

Developer

Thanks a bunch! I'm really glad you liked it! In my first two game jams everyone complained that the music and sound were too loud so ever since I've included those sliders (or mute buttons) in my games.

Submitted

The game looks really good! I love the music and the "sticker" style of the sprites!

Developer

Thanks a lot!

I liked the drawn UI elements of the game and the responsive feeling of the flying the rocket but there were a few things i didnt quite like so much, like the feedback on the Button-Press and the non exisisting in-game explanation of the controls and your mission (Yes i noticed the Explanation on the Submission Page). But overall this game really felt good and was fun to play, but it could have been even better!

Developer

I'm glad you liked it! I've hidden away the tutorial behind a button in the main menu, which is dwarfed by everything else, so yes I really need to make better tutorials in the future! Also, great idea with an effect when pressing the play button!

Simple and nice visual style ! You can try my game.

Thank you, I did!

Simple and fun game. My only complaint is that there should be a hover sound.

Developer

Glad you liked it, and now that you mention the sound I totally agree!

Very simple game with an astounding consistent art style. Nice submission, great job! :)

Developer

Thanks! I'm glad you liked the style!

The visuals are good! I think this could be expanded to a fun full game!

Developer

Thank you! I'm glad you think so!

Submitted

Nice job!

I think the visuals are great and I like the attention to small details, such as having the background slightly changing and I also found the controls good.

One thing that could be added would be, similar to the star, other pickups, for example one that could slow down time or clean you spaceship from the pink stuff.

Developer

Thank you for the comment! If I would spend more time on this game I'd probably add some kind of powerup and a new enemy.
