I used an 8 x 8 art style for all the elements in the game.

Nicely done. The art, sounds and music worked well together given the way the story went. Who's leaving all these batteries everywhere?
I know right? How irresponsible lol! Thank you for the comment!
The movement didn't work at first. When I refreshed the page it was working again.
Amazing art and music! Really cool idea...very unfortunate ending :(
I’m glad the movement worked for you in the end, I think it may be an issue with Itch or something not losing correctly. Thank you for playing the game and leaving a comment, glad to hear you liked the art and music!
poor cosmo.... i hope he unlocks the ability to turn back time.
great use of the limitation, no spoilers....no tears......
give this game a try
You know what? That’s actually a really cool idea for a chapter 2 of this game lol, thank you for the inspiration! I appreciate you giving the game a play and review!
My heart really went out to this little guy. Good story telling. The screen shake was a little too much for me, but overall a good concept with solid mechanics. Good job!
thank you for the comment! I wish I could work out the screen shake, but for now that is the best I can do. I appreciate you taking the time to play and comment!
I really love this (despite the ending breaking my heart). Cosmo's design is so good and it was really fun running around knocking things over and pushing them off shelves. Can't believe this is only the fourth game you've made, please keep making them!
Thank you so much for playing the game and leaving the comment, I’m gonna keep trying my best lol!
Pushing things off tables and knocking over bins (and TVs) is something I'm surprised I've seen so little of in a game jam about cats, and that it's done well here with the purpose of finding batteries. Quite the exploratory gem you've made.
Leave it to a a good choice of music and a robo-kitty to tug on my heartstrings...
Great work, and good luck! :D
I appreciate it a lot! Thank you for the comment!!!
I was going to say that I really enjoyed graphics, sound and opportunity to push things from the hight, but now I'm just sad and worried what wil the cat do alone
Great game though!
Well, sadly when you push the power off button at the end, it's not just turning off temporarily, so I suppose you could say the cat is entering sleep mode... forever? I somehow just made this more sad, I'm a terrible person.
Fun game -felt silly knocking things off -the ending was strong too-overall great work! :D
The ending was so sad! concept was great however i would have liked to be able to press up and right or left at the same time however i got used to the controls quickly.
Oh, I'm sorry it wasn't letting you do that. You should be able to jump while moving, and I've had others test the game and it seemed to work for them. I'll try to figure out why it wasn't working, thank you for letting me know!
That end was a hard punch in the face :(
That ending struck me like a knife in the back.
Fun game tho!
Oh man I tried speedrunning the game in case you could actually make it but destiny was already set from the beginning :((
I don't think I remembered to state this in the game or description, but yeah, there's only one ending, as I wasn't able to add multiple endings with my limited code space in the free version of Construct 3. If I'm ever able to get the full version I will absolutely make multiple endings! :)
I thought it was great nevertheless! That was just me trying to save the poor lady effortlessly :x
Awesome game! I liked everything! The plot, music, graphics! You've done very well! A short but enjoyable game! I liked that the cat hits things. I was waiting for someone to use it! Awesome game! I am delighted! Thank you for this game!
A little short but the existing content is solid. I noticed only one minor graphical issue, namely that collecting batteries too quickly can cause the energy bar to spill out over the right side of the screen.
Thank you for catching that, I'm making an update right now that fixes that. I appreciate the feedback!
Lovely game, nice job!
honestly for being new at this id give it 9/10 the fonts a bit off and needs to be a little bit more refined but a really spectacular job congrats
i think my biggest complaint here is that the font is a bit wonky
oh and that i’m sad now, but i think that was intentional
Yeah, in the program I use it's surprisingly difficult to get the font to look nice, so sorry about the wonky text. And for some reason I decided that a happy ending was harder to make than a sad one, so now I'm crying over my own game, even though I already know the ending lol.
Great art and atmosphere.
Thanks for the comment!
I'm a little frustrated with the lack of polish, but the game struck a chord with me anyway.
I'm fairly new to game making, this is the fourth game I've made so far, so I'm still learning how to add polish to a game and I'm not fully sure how to do it yet. If you had any advice for me I would absolutely appreciate it, as all your games are amazing and well polished.
The first thing I noticed was the handling of the text. It doesn't seem to be positioned properly in relation to the text box (left and right spaces are too narrow). Also, there seems to be a problem with the font rendering.
This may seem like a small issue, but it can negatively affect the first impression, resulting in other elements feeling a bit unrefined.
I felt that the feedback when I picked up the battery was a little inadequate. There were times when I didn't realize that I had picked up a battery. However, if you make it too exaggerated, it might ruin the atmosphere of this game, so you have to think of an appropriate expression. That will be a difficult task.
If you want to represent a city at night, it would be a good idea to change the color tones of the bushes and other textures to match the nighttime atmosphere.
I think it is far more important and valuable to strike a chord with the players than to be sophisticated or not. For me, this game was worth it. Refining a game is important, but this is the kind of game I want.
